@carygolomb Bad take. At this rate, Nvidia and its partners are making home computing literally unaffordable for probably 75% of the population with the price of memory, storage and GPU's going up 200-400%. There's no point in making games using that garbage if no one can play it anyways.

It’s up to devs if DLSS 5 photorealism is an option in their games, and they will be able to tune it to their own liking. It’s exclusive to 50 series cards, so any dev who relies on it to make their game pretty for them would be pretty foolish. The backlash is…confusing 🤷🏼‍♂️

@HardwareUnboxed It’s a small percentage of loud people who don’t like it. Not representative of everyone. By nature the only ones who will go out of their way to comment are unhappy people who delude themselves into thinking they speak for everyone. Most of us just think it looks cool.

Watching Nvidia destroy the DLSS brand in real time is quite something. I wonder if they were expecting the "AI slop" reaction internally, or whether they had fully drunk the Kool-Aid
