@bowtiedstocks I'm one of the hated immigrants, except I came 20yrs ago. I've been waiting since then for a market crash. Will go sideways, maybe slight retracement in SEQ ... not sure I see 50% though.

When I say Aussie propadee will fall I’m not saying it will be a uniform 30% fall in each city / market across the country Look at Melbourne for example - price growth only 9% last 5 years That won’t fall as hard as a south east Qld or Brisbane for example where I think the price falls will be closer to 50% or more in real terms

The Straits were opened before the war begun. Except now there are reports Iran will keep charging a toll for ships to pass.. The regime, while wounded, gets to stay in power. And with that, they become more powerful. Where is the victory here??
OSINTdefender@sentdefender

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt calls tonight’s two-week ceasefire with Iran “a victory for the United States that President Trump and our incredible military made happen,” adding that, “President Trump got the Strait of Hormuz reopened.”

ADM. HARWARD: “DETERRENCE IS BACK” “If they open the strait and stuff starts flowing tomorrow—it’s a huge victory for the president.” “We had lost all deterrence… they didn’t fear the United States. That’s changed—deterrence is back on the table.” “The Iranians know he was going to take them to the Stone Ages… now we watch what they do.”

I understand your point in terms of fulfillment on a certain level, but practically someone still needs to make a choice knowing that the lives brought into this world, due the choices they make, will be guaranteed of disproportionate and extra trauma and hardship yet they still make the choice to fill a certain hole they have within.

People are beginning to see net zero for what it really is ... industry being sent offshore, power prices up through the roof and our environment being destroyed in the process. That's why the National and Liberal parties have committed to DUMPING this net zero insanity for an energy plan that puts affordability and reliability first. It doesn't matter how the power is generated, as long as it is provides the cheapest possible energy to Australians. Thanks to Henry Pike for hosting Garth Hamilton and I at the DUMP NET ZERO FORUM in Alexandra Hills - an incredible turnout! You can read the full Nationals' Cheaper, Better and Fairer energy plan at powering.au.

@mackaysuzie They're the government, last time I looked. Who else has the numbers to pass legislation? Inflation isn't Labor's fault. Not doing anything to help is absolutely Labor's fault. Categorically.

@SpachusAus Of the all the countries I've seen, Australia has been the wealthiest. And by that, I mean poverty in aus doesn't compare, your minimum wage earners do well in comparison. Those days are over. Aus exists in an international world competing against cheaper workforces.

The whole “boomers worked harder than younger generations” argument misses the real point. Most generations worked hard. The difference is the math. 🏠 30–40 years ago: houses were about 3× the average income 🏠 Today: in many places they’re 10× income or more So the challenge today isn’t skipping a few coffees or meals out. It’s trying to save $300k+ for a deposit just to enter the market. For many people, that’s simply impossible without the Bank of Mum & Dad. This isn’t about who worked harder. It’s about how much further the goalposts have moved. The younger generation will simply not aspire to owning or investing in property. A generational mindset shift.

The Proteas getting klapped by the Black Caps in another ICC tournament… Honestly, the Springboks are just the Proteas with better ‘luck’. The ‘gold watch’ semi-final in 1995. Suzie the waitress in the final. The 2007 Steven Bradberry run. The 2019 cakewalk and then the 2023 charity event of the century, 15-on-14 final and only winning by a point. The Proteas just aren’t getting the same level of assistance, but make no mistake, they are the same.

I’m not trying to overhype anything. I know it’s still early days but the Wallabies are building into a serious team to watch for the Rugby World Cup. There’s genuine talent across this squad. With Mark Nawaqanitawase back in the mix and the possibility of a few key forwards returning from Europe and Japan, they’re shaping up to be a formidable side. The real question is whether they have the right coach to take this group all the way. For me, that’s still a big doubt. I’ve never been convinced about Les Kiss but I genuinely hope he proves me wrong. #SuperRugbyPacific #Wallabies #RWC2027
