WWYD: 62 yo, long standing Crohn’s. Had SB resection in the 90’. Operated recently d/t bowel obstruction, found to have only 50 cm of SB. 5 cm stricture resected. Pt doing well post op. Reg. Diet. Bx showed adeno CA. Positive margins. No lymph nodes in specimen. PETCT negative.

@dnepo Agree its important. However, in my experience this is not the reality. Unfortunately, it is much more difficult to publish papers showing a device/technique has no benefit. As good as the paper may be positivity bias is all around us, no P = no publication

Patient stable with robust Hb so no blood required. If patient doesn't stop bleeding attempt colonoscopy with clip. Last resort - reanastomosis.

Interesting study. Sheds light on the the reason higher lymph node yield equals better over all survival.
