Expo SDK 56 is out 🙌 ◆ Expo UI is stable on iOS and Android ◆ iOS builds 16% faster, plus another 20% on EAS from precompiled community libs ◆ Android cold starts 40% faster ◆ Expo Router decoupled from React Navigation ◆ Inline native modules: write Swift and Kotlin right next to your TypeScript ◆ Hermes v1 by default ◆ Bytecode diffing on by default (~58% smaller OTA updates) ◆ iOS Widgets stable ◆ React Native 0.85 + React 19.2 It's been two months since SDK 55, and we packed in everything we could fit. Your iOS build times are going to thank you. Full changelog ↓

@ilikefrontend @michael_chomsky Cursor is a full IDE, full VSCode, of course you can edit files. I do that daily, my main workspace is still the IDE with agent chat on the right

I'm actually not sure how this happened. Cursor was extremely well positioned yet the Codex app is objectively better from a software point of view. But it wouldn't matter because the OAI prices are unbeatable so even if Cursor software was 2x better I'd still use Codex.
Evis Drenova@evisdrenova

The cursor fall-off is going to be studied for decades. I don't know any engineer who uses them anymore. Not to say that others don't, but it's obvious that they're no longer on the tech frontier. Still, a $60b outcome in 4 years is nothing to sneeze at...

@_maskapital @michael_chomsky You can’t manually edit the files within the app, it makes you open another editor. That’s why there is an open in editor button. I wish it was all within the app

@ilikefrontend @michael_chomsky Yes you can. Top right corner there’s a panel button. Then you can click if you want to see the files, IDE, browser session, terminal session etc.

Hey @shadcn, happy to set you up with my lawyers and cover costs if you want to C&D this guy. Absolutely obnoxious behavior on his part. Not sure there's any other path that will work with trash like him sadly.

Hey @dok2001 @eastdakota @Cloudflare - my free product is being attacked by Vercel, please send help 😭 Did you know you can’t use the “shadcn” name without his majesty’s approval?

Kristen Stewart says acting is by nature “quite embarrassing and unmasculine,” and that going Method is a way for some male actors to temper the “inherently vulnerable” side of being a performer: “There’s no bravado in suggesting that you’re a mouthpiece for someone else’s ideas. It’s inherently submissive. Have you ever heard of a female actor that was method?” variety.com/2025/film/news…

@TheCTStud @TheJoeySwoll he gave his honest opinion, most people agree with him and I do too. One person can't make a whole locker room uncomfortable, so he/she isn't

@TheJoeySwoll It's a shitty take. The irony of your position is it makes Trans people more vulnerable to be attacked and does nothing to prevent sexual assault. (Hint: criminals don't care about signs on a door).

There’s nothing “controversial” about my take. Men don’t belong in the women’s locker room.
