I've always wondered about this.
People say Japan's train network is excellent, but how do businessmen commute in big American cities like Chicago?
Surely there isn't a parking lot in the basement of this building, is there?

@madeleinedupre It wasn’t housing they renovated former Holiday Inn and other places like the Lakeshore Hotel. I was part of a group that was out protesting the hotels and the housing of these illegal immigrants getting three meals, a day, healthcare and housing vouchers on our taxpayer money.

Absolutely false that half the city doesn’t have a car. It’s closer to 30% (NYC is only US city where over half doesn’t have cars)
Edgewater and RP is more affable than the other walkable and more family friendly neighborhoods
Still very expensive to find large homes there and crime drives many families out (I’ve known several who have left RP after witnessing shootings)

I’m still confused about this teen takeover in Hyde Park. Running through the neighborhood on top of cars is ridiculous. There’s not an afterschool program to fix what this generation of teenagers are doing in Chicago. Please parent your children.
