See, this is the nonsense. I swear I didn't know it was that bad. No wonder folks are talking about term limits, if not flat-out purging everyone on Capitol Hill. This is just bad!

The gaslighting is crazy. As a child in the 90s and into 2000s, we were supported and encouraged in every way. Not only were we told we could do anything, but we should do everything. The amount of resources and help for us seemed limitless. It was boys who were belittled, dismissed and put on the back burner. That’s why we have a crisis today.

Just a reminder that DOGE failed at every possible level: * At the micro level, they misread, misled and straight up lied about many of the 'savings'. They'd announce '500m saved!' and it would be some contract where the money was 98% already spent and already wasn't being renewed. * At the macro level, they didn't impact spending at all. The government spent more in 2025 than 2024. * At the institutional level, they didn't even convince the GOP that deficits are a problem worth caring about. The GOP only signature bill in 2025 exploded the deficit by trillions of dollars. * At a personal level, Elon got run out of town with his tail between his legs. The most notable public facts about the Cracked Coders are that one of them was a mini-Hitler, one was called 'big balls', and none of them bothered to learn how the government actually works before they set it on fire. They gutted a bunch of important institutions, fired whole departments at random, decimated medical research funding, killed millions of people dependent on USAID, and still failed at every possible level.

5 minutes before Trump’s announcement: * $1.5B notional worth of S&P500 (ES) futures are bought in a single clip. * $192M notional of oil futures (CL) sold. More than 4x-6x any other trade size during the market close. Insiders profited from his lies in broad daylight!

Back in my day, being a liberal meant: - Do you and we won't judge (be gay, be black, be Jewish, whatever, do you) - Crime is bad. Believing criminals should go to jail and are accountable for their own actions (because society needs safety). Families in particular need safe communities. And safe communities help poor Americans up level their life. - Business is good! Growing business funds social programs. Pro business! We loved growth. We loved American companies who succeeded, because that helps grow future tax revenue. We believed the pie gets bigger. - America, while flawed, is awesome. We still loved America and wanted to win. - Legal immigration is a great thing. Brings smart people to America. Do more of this. More smart people, legally coming here. - Illegal immigration is not a great thing, because illegal immigrants aren't paying taxes but pull on benefits...this harms the average American who relies on some budget discipline to afford social programs for citizens. We are now politically homeless. It's sad.

The transformation of liberals into "progressives" since 2013 has seriously been the worst thing to happen to American culture in my lifetime. Just absolutely gutted so much of what was good about this country. End of a golden age.

I've seen lots of posts on Unity and I’ve received questions about my support for Darren's campaign, so let me comment here. I hope many of you saw my final letter where I congratulated Darren there. In a couple of media spots, I have also encouraged those who supported me to support him in ousting Gov. Pritzker. But let me add some clarity. About Unity. I did call Darren to congratulate him Tuesday night, but he did not answer the call. Just in case there was a bad connection, I also texted him immediately with a congratulatory message. I did not receive a response back on Tuesday night and I have yet to hear from Darren. That’s all ok. He doesn’t have to respond to me. If you’ve seen some of the commentary from Tom Devore, they simply may not want to reach out to me. But I do want to set the record straight that I did reach out to Darren. A second comment about the supporters of the Ted for Illinois campaign. I do urge them to support Darren in getting Pritzker out of office. But Darren himself will have to earn the support of many of those voters. Many felt rejected by Darren’s avoidance of the debates and his long absence from Chicagoland, strategic decisions he made. I hope this answers some questions many of you may have had. All the best to you and all Illinoisans! Ted #twill @ILGOP #Illinois @DarrenBaileyIL

@IanSohn Good for you. My husband and I used to love riding the L with our son since he was obsessed with trains. Some of our best memories are of those rides with him. Would you mind sharing what lines you feel are safe that you enjoy riding? Honest question.

This video has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. This scary incident is not an isolated incident. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be this way and can be fixed. No parent would feel comfortable riding the CTA with their children as long as this behavior, now all too common on too many lines, continues. Too many Chicagoans rely on public transportation to get to and from work safely and affordably. Having to tolerate incidents like this is unacceptable. Hoping that by not making eye contact with the aggressor, you might get lucky enough to avoid getting hurt, is not a strategy for improving safety and increasing ridership on the CTA. It's also terribly unfair to working class people who can't afford safer transportation options. We need to restore control of our trains by getting Chicago police officers back on them, starting with the worst lines. I rode the Red Line last week, starting on 69th, and spoke with a woman who looked visibly scared. She said she no longer takes the EL because it's unsafe. Her car broke down, and after spending $150 in Uber rides over the prior 3 days, she couldn't afford another Uber ride to get back home from work so that's why she took the CTA. She took it out of desperation. This woman needs to work. She can't afford to lose her job. She is a taxpayer. She, and all Chicagoans and visitors to our city, deserve a clean, safe and reliable transportation system. This clearly mentally ill repeat offender, should not be on our trains, double-fisting hammers, making death threats, after already having been arrested 30 times. He needs mental health services and accountability. Everyone else needs clean, SAFE, reliable trains. It's not too much to ask. It's a bare minimum expectation.

NBC calls IL-02 for Donna Miller over Jesse Jackson Jr. and Robert Peters. Miller, the pro-Israel candidate, winning 41% of the vote. Robert Peters, the anti-Israel candidate, in FOURTH place with 11% of the vote. Social media isn’t real life.
