Modern war is the most highly developed of all sciences. We have perfected our weapons but failed to perfect the men who use them.

@TeamYouTube @WeDoAIStuff You NEED to RECONSIDER this decision. AI Guy is the BEST, most original D&D content on YouTube. Everything on this channel is original. I hate all the AI slop you bombard my feed with… but AI Guy is absolutely NOT that. It’s clever, original and entertaining.

@WeDoAIStuff We're sending you a DM now. Let's continue our convo there

One screenshot. YouTube's own dashboard. Same channel, within two days
Three days ago YouTube demonetised my channel of 154 episodes for "inauthentic content - mass produced." My appeal came back denied yesterday.
The same week, YouTube's own analytics tool generated this assessment of my latest episode: "performing exceptionally well... an outlier in the best possible way."
I've spent 3 years, working 50-70 hours per week building a serialised D&D campaign in an original world, with an audience of 1,250+ paying supporters across BOTH YouTube + Patreon, 500 of whom are now being cut off from supporting what they love, losing membership badges they've held for 2+ years.
If nothing else, this is unfair to them, and the damage is done.
The denial cites "similar template across multiple videos" as the reason. That criteria applies to every podcast, every gameplay channel, every long-form actual play show on YouTube. I'd genuinely like to understand what specifically distinguishes my work from the formats YouTube actively recommends.
The denial also says I can reapply in 90 days "after making changes." But the same email says they can't tell me which videos triggered the decision. You can't fix what you can't identify.
And at the risk of repeating myself, what good does that do for the woman who has been with the channel for 1 year 8 months, or the man for 2 years 5 months? Nothing. They're two of the 500 people now being cut off from supporting work they love, through no decision of their own. Or mine.
To @TeamYouTube - please open this case for human review. Every cited claim has been addressed with evidence in the replies below.
To my audience - please be respectful and polite if you engage. The work continues. I'll see you all Friday on Patreon.

@GrampsToolshed @Samwise7RPG Marvel Superheroes. Infinity adaptable, logical and simple. Percentile dice are more sensible, easily interpretable and allow for greater granularity. Abilities aren’t abstract and contribute to greater granularity. Best overall system by far.

@CP24 The government dithered and flip-flopped based on the polls, not principles. Moreover, Canada was once again left out of important discussions with world leaders as Carney is untrustworthy and is aligning the country with the BRICS.

BREAKING: Former Xinjiang police officer (2014–2023) confirms that detentions and forced labor continue today.
From 2023, officials detained Uyghurs who avoided forced labor or allegedly disobeyed state orders. 🧵
Zhang, the former police officer, says that under Ma Xingrui, Chen Quanguo's successor, visible repression campaigns were replaced with hidden coercion. Village committees have unilateral authority to order residents to accept labor transfers. Refusal triggers up to 15 days in detention.
From 2023, authorities employed rolling, pre-emptive short-term detentions as calculated intimidation, designed to enforce total submission.
Zhang observed how Uyghur culture is now nearly extinct: the village he worked in has been largely emptied of working-age adults — many are in prison or shipped away for forced labor. Speaking Uyghur is prohibited in schools. Mosques are closed or guarded 24/7.
Zhang estimates a quarter of the adult population in his village was interned in re-education camps between 2017–2019, excluding those sent to prisons. Under Ma Xingrui, Chen Quanguo's successor, visible repression campaigns were replaced with hidden coercion.
In 2019, Zhang worked at the Hotan County re-education headquarters where detainee records were falsified and the true scale hidden even from higher-level authorities.
HOW COERCION WORKS:
Village committees have unilateral authority to order residents to accept labor transfers. Refusal triggers mandatory night school, unpaid communal labor, or up to 15 days in detention facilities.
My report in Foreign Policy outlines the details (link is below in the first comment)

@kinsellawarren One surprising victory in this war is how little damage Iran’s hackers have done. They were once prolific, eg. almost got hold of a dam in NY. Same could be said of 🗑️🇷🇺. Despite getting kicked in the teeth there’s been nothing as serious as NotPetya etc in years.
English

My book The Hidden Hand, out next week, contains a lot of new facts about Iran's ability to win the cyber information war. "Despite Cease-Fire, Iran’s Hackers Haven’t Logged Off - The New York Times" nytimes.com/2026/04/16/us/…

@In2Tat2s @DDoblio @kinsellawarren Their total decapitation wasn’t expected. Iran’s nuclear hopes are dashed. The Strait is temporarily closed but nobody would expect it to reopen so quickly. Total victory is certainly very likely. Just not a video game or movie… it will take some time.
English

@DDoblio @kinsellawarren Nobody thought of them as invincible.
Everyone, however, was terrified that they'd get a nuclear weapon. But that's now why your boy went in with his big bombs.
It's always...and only...about the oil. And the Strait remains closed.
Failure.
English

@kinsellawarren The entire leadership is dead in depth. They have no navy or airforce. They absolutely do not control the Strait of Hormuz and have no source of income. The Kurds have stood down temporarily, but will soon swoop in with nothing to resist them.

@IanRunkle @SpencerFernando Fernando and people like him who support fringe parties want to get rid of the FPP system. This is a back door to that. If we give MPs independent voices we get gvnts like Toronto’s City Council and elect officials like Chow who aren’t moderated by a rational platform or party
English

Were Canada to ban floor crossing, we would be suppressing the individual minds of those we elect, and further concentrating power in party leaders. As things stand now, floor crossing protects independence and keeps pressure on leaders to treat their colleagues well lest they watch those colleagues head elsewhere. Floor crossing – and the threat of it – protects us from a system where those we elect turn into mindless drones serving nothing more than the centralized will of ‘the leader.’
English

@SpencerFernando This is a poor take that ignores how our Parliamentary system works. MPs are representatives not employees or independent contractors. By-elections preserve the independence you speak to while ensuring voters don’t lose their voice while maintaining protection against corruption
English

@CarymaRules @rubywright1 Courts usurped Parliament’s authority to write laws. Unqualified activists in the SCC supported by the CCLA and others weaponizing the Charter. Without the tools, ability or talent needed to make effective laws, this has resulted in a chaotic ineffective criminal justice system.

#UPDATE
Mariam Bebawy, the protester who approached my videographer from behind and pulled down his pants, exposing his genitals to a hostile crowd, has had her assault charge withdrawn in exchange for a one-year common law peace bond.
This means there will be no trial and no criminal record arising from the incident.
The Crown prosecutor was Betty Vavougious, president of the Ontario Crown Attorneys’ Association.
The officer in charge was Detective Constable Shar Koushyar-Moghtader from the Hate Crime Unit.
Bebawy was represented by Arash Ghiassi, a lawyer who frequently defends protesters associated with the Movement Defence Committee/Orange Hats. His clients include individuals charged in the Indigo 11 case, and his name also surfaced when prominent activist Syed Hussan was arrested following a scuffle with police. Ghiassi is currently representing Gisela McKay, an associate of Bebawy’s, in a peace bond application initiated by my videographer.
As in a previous case involving Jennifer Clermont— who spat on my videographer and called him a “Zionist pig”— neither police nor the Crown informed the victim of the outcome.

@IanRunkle Carney & Lewis know their ideas will never be popular. The only way they can get what they really want is to move CDA toward European Parliaments where fringe ideas don’t have to compete against rational governance. Why they want to scrap FPP. Floor crossing is a back door.

@IanRunkle We elected a party run by a shady banker who made a name for himself hiding money for his rich friends in offshore accounts… this isn’t unexpected.

@JinglaiHe Nonviolent crime stabilized bc there’s no enforcement of it. Violent crime has skyrocketed. It fell 1% in 2024 but thats not a trend and it’s still a record high levels. The trend is an astronomical increase that began in 2015. Here’s the data:

Last night, U.S. forces launched one-way attack drones into Iran during Operation Epic Fury. CENTCOM made history a month ago when it began using low-cost aerial attack drones in combat for the first time.
“Today, hundreds of U.S. drones are fully integrated into offensive and defensive operations against Iran. These platforms operate in the air, at sea, under the sea and on the ground in support of our military objectives,” said Adm. Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM.
