One of the most striking indictments of US news media made in the Kristof piece, unintentionally, is that we are given an incredible example of how the word of Israelis is taken without any shred of evidence while Palestinians must provide every detail imaginable of the violence inflicted against them, and even then their suffering is treated, at best, as secondary if even acknowledged.
Also worth noting that Screams without Words was an official investigation by the New York Times and this report is in the opinion section.

The frothing online debate about this @NickKristof column is so revealing. On this issue, people would rather distract with fights about the unseen than to face the ongoing horrors in Gaza that we can all clearly see with our own eyes. It’s like the focus on the words of college students instead of on the impact of 2,000 lb bombs that we paid for. So they’ll go after Kristof’s story all day as a way of looking us off of schoolchildren we’ve killed in Minab with double-tap strikes. So revealing.

I appreciate the intense interest in my column. For skeptics, why not agree on Red Cross and lawyer visits for the 9,000 Palestinian "security" prisoners? If you think these abuse allegations are false, such monitoring visits would be protective. So why not?

A very serious investigation has been published in @nytimes about rape and sexual violence carried out by the authorities in Israel. I am also quoted in this article as one of many, many people who provided accounts to this newspaper, which is considered extremely pro-Israeli.
In response, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote that these are antisemitic “blood libels.” It is clear that the reports already published by Al Jazeera in 2024, and by me in 2025 when the BBC censored and deleted the interview with me, are true.
People simply need to listen to Palestinians. But the world does not listen to Palestinians. It only listens when it is written in The New York Times — and now it is written there.

Are Israeli rape deniers pretending they didn't see the literal footage of their soldiers raping a Palestinian hostage until they exploded his intestines?
Are they that dumb or do they think we are?
Haven't they seen their elected leaders storming a military base to free the IDF rapists? or the Rabbis who blessed the IDF rapists? or the IDF rapists being hosted like heroes on national TV?
Haven't they seen the poll showing 65% of Israelis supported the IDF rapists & opposed any criminal prosecution of them? or Israel's own medical report that showed how the rape victim was hospitalized with severe bleeding, a ruptured rectum & exploded intestines from the assault?
Haven't they seen how the Israeli military prosecutor that tried to investigate the soldiers was fired from her job & placed under house arrest? or how the rapists were all let free, reinstated in the IDF & widely celebrated by their government?
Haven't they read Israel's founding father, David Ben Gurion, or Israel's top historian, Benny Morris, openly admit the IDF raped Palestinians systematically?
Those rape deniers are the most shameless, despicable & malevolent of propagandists. They've seen with their own eyes an indisputable mountain of evidence. They know the world have seen it too. Yet, they lie in your face so obviously.
If they lie about something as well documented as their systematic use of sexual violence as a weapon of war, imagine what else they have they been lying about?

Now, in a major @nytimes investigation, journalist @NickKristof published terrible testimonies concerning sexual violence and the use of sodomy as a tool of interrogation and humiliation by Israeli forces. Palestinian prisoners are subjected to severe violence, deliberate humiliation, starvation, sleep deprivation, denial of medical care, and abuse in every facility where they are held. These abusive practices are fully backed by the political leadership, which openly boasts about the harsh prison conditions. Some inmates are subjected to severe sexual assaults. At least 88 Palestinians have died in Israeli detention facilities since October 2023 as a result of inhumane conditions, violence, starvation, and the denial of medical treatment. I’ve just learned of the killing by Israel of one of the most courageous people I knew: rescuer Hussein Jaber from the Lebanese Civil Defence in Nabatieh.
I had known him for three years and met him many times. He was always inspiring, brave and endlessly helpful for many reporters.
We will not forget what Israel has done to Lebanon’s rescuers.
We will not forget Hussein.

This reminds me of the murder of our colleague Samer Abu Daqqa. Samer was left to bleed for hours while his employer, foreign journalists & others all tried to convince Israel to let rescuers reach him. His killers went unpunished, and have killed hundreds of journalists since.
