Lebanon is tied in via Hezbollah—an Iran-funded and armed militant group based in southern Lebanon. Since Oct 2023, Hezbollah has launched thousands of rockets and attacks on Israel in support of Hamas, opening a northern front. Israel hit back with airstrikes and a ground operation in Lebanon, displacing tens of thousands. Iran wants any US/Israel ceasefire to cover this front too, to shield its key proxy in the "axis of resistance."

@ZacksJerryRig You rigged everything including your brain with TDS if you think an Iranian official is trustworthy. Who do you think was responsible for killing our soldiers in Iraq in Basra and Shiite areas?

Genuine question: what was the point of dismissing the Iranian's ambassador? It's very clear that the US believes that any move against Hezbollah now is too late either way.

@Georges__Haddad Unfortunately, the Army has not shown a willingness to defend its people. Its inaction is worse than taking failed action. It is ideologically captured by Persian colonialists. It's going to be a long time before it's trusted again by the West.

@HalaJaber @PiersUncensored A fringe that wants autonomy from Persian colonialism? What? Have you been smoking something new with your friends in the UK?

Contrary to the promotion, Piers Morgan (@PiersUncensored) invites a fringe Lebanese voice, who is being presented as representative of the country. He isn’t. Rather than engage those directly involved in the conflict, he opts for a convenient “anti” for clicks. That’s the calibre of @piersmorgan’s show. Controversy drives clicks, & that seems to be the priority. For context: the guest is the son of a Lebanese political figure long accused of large-scale corruption & sought for questioning in connection with the port explosion. This guest does not represent a majority in Lebanon. At best, he reflects a small fringe. His own background also raises serious questions, but that’s for another time. Don’t let facts get in the way of a narrative driven interview Piers.

🇱🇧 Tomorrow, a true Lebanese who represents the absolute majority of our country Dr. Saleh Machnouk, will debunk all the Hezbollah lies! @PiersUncensored @piersmorgan

So Trump is stalling Iran until Friday, until the troops are in place, and then after market close he’ll say Iran messed up the negotiations to justify a ground invasion. We all agree that’s what’s going to happen?

Best headline ever: Christians and Hezbollah unite against 'Epstein empire'. “The relationship between the village and Hezbollah is stronger than with the Pope,” Rifiat Nasrallah, 60, told The Telegraph during a visit in the midst of war. “The Vatican did nothing for us but Hezbollah spilt their blood to protect us." Shame on Pope Leo for his cowardice in the face of Israel and the Jews’ crimes.

There's a growing tendency in Britain, and no doubt elsewhere, for non-Muslims to refer to Mohammed as 'the prophet Mohammed': to be avoided.

I believe the 10452km experiment is over. We failed Bachir. It's time to cut our losses. We don't need federalism. We need partition and full independence to create a state that actually has a military that protects its people, and isn't subservient to the Iranian axis.

Lebanese Christians, through their main political parties, support peace and normalization with Israel. Claims that they are aligned with Hezbollah often rely on highlighting a minority (SSNP/leftist groups) and don’t reflect the broader reality. Don't let western media fool you.

Reaching any deal without regime change in Iran would be an absolute nightmare. For someone like me, it would be a fate worse than death to see the Iranian people’s struggles and sacrifices rendered in vain. Anything less than fundamental change will only prolong the suffering.

@samizog If I was your employer I’d demote you for such an amateurish buzzword filled tweet. Lebanon experience space through sect because that’s how it’s always been since the Mamluks. Its root is Islam and othering.

Lebanon’s elite structure has trained people to experience space through sect, not citizenship. Displacement is therefore processed as encroachment and demographic pressure. This is how the system reproduces itself: through a society taught to fear itself.
