@LoneNasir_ @HaseebDrabu @SapruSanjay @ShashiTharoor Handoo sb represented Ang Lok Sabha & Pahalgam twice, earning respect far beyond political lines. He was a leader of masses. Even today, stories of his legal brilliance echo through courtrooms, while on the ground, people still speak warmly of his deep connection with them.

.@HaseebDrabu Agree on the comparison 💯 But context: You're matching Kerala 2026 Assembly results with Kashmir’s mainly pre-1989, yara. Hardly a fair yardstick! @ShashiTharoor
Haseeb Drabu@HaseebDrabu

@ShashiTharoor In the much maligned Kashmir Valley, this was par for the course. Top of the mind recall of Kashmiri Pandits winning the elections from overwhelmingly Muslim majority constituencies: 1. D P Dhar (Kulgam) 2. Sham Lal Saraf (Srinagar) 3. Munawar Nath Koul (Devsar)

Even if we need to Cut them for some important reason like road widening these big trees can also be Transplanted as there are technologies available ? But Axing these Heritage Trees which come under Specified Trees Act 1969 is Criminal Act and recent SC judgement is more severe on this ? @CM_JnK @javidahmaddarjk @ddprsrinagar @srinagaradmin @MushtaqGuroo @SMAltafBukhari @moefcc

Kashmiri shawl vendors from Anantnag district are facing hurdles at Kotwali PS, MP, where they are being asked for re-verification despite already being cleared. I urge the @CMMadhyaPradesh to kindly look into the matter and ensure smooth facilitation of their work.

Had the honour to inaugurate the Bagwani (Pahalgam) T20 Winter Cup. Incredible to see such amazing local talent full of passion and promise. From this ground, I can already see upcoming national level players in the making. #T20 #LocalTalent #CricketForAll

J&K is facing a number of serious issues, and netizens are responding strongly, holding the government accountable. The ruling party spokespersons, however, argue that during the LG rule, netizens weren’t as active. Now, with the restoration of freedom of speech and expression, there is greater openness to criticism. To some extent, @JKNC_ spokespersons are right in saying that, after the elections in J&K, freedom of speech and expression is more flexible in practice. However, spokespersons should not take public criticism personally or view it as a political attack on the government. Instead, it should be seen as a way for people to express their aspirations, suggestions, and concerns, which the government could consider moving forward.

I am not concerned with the political actions of MLA Doda, as his approach is not one I personally agree with. However, the fact that a popular sitting legislator, who holds public trust, was detained under the PSA is troubling. It raises concerns about the vulnerability of ordinary citizens, who lack any immunity. This also brings into question the weakened structure of the government post-constitutional changes. While I don’t mean to criticize, I had hoped for more dialogue and debate from elected representatives regarding such detentions. This is more of a suggestion, one that could help strengthen democracy step by step.

Last 6 years - a whirlwind. Even my father’s critics were surprised at his implication in a corruption case. His professional record was impeccable and his integrity unblemished. Justice has finally prevailed - @shangpal found NOT GUILTY. God is kind. m.greaterkashmir.com/article/anti-c…

Pahalgam and surrounding villages reeling from river fury. The interiors of Pahalgam and its adjoining villages are facing severe flooding. The Yanner Bridge is submerged, part of the Sakhras Bridge has collapsed, Betaab Valley lies inundated, famed Selfie Point damaged and water levels in Brenward are alarmingly high. 11 years after the last major disaster, this is a stark wake up call. The message is clear, unchecked concretisation and haphazard construction cannot continue. The environment is pushing back, and unless strong, immediate government action is taken to regulate development and protect natural ecosystems, the consequences will only grow worse. @OmarAbdullah @OfficeOfLGJandK @GreaterKashmir
