As with all of Professor Taleb's Incerto Series, this book was studied, not merely read. A labour of love, this process included: - 6 weeks of study of the text and its prologues / postscript essays - detailed watching, re-watching and analysis of NNT's talks, lectures, interviews and videos on The Black Swan - a whole day recording w/ @CyrusYari, which was followed by a delicious Lindy Ocakbaşı Turkish feast with our very own Ali Carpet (better known as Fat Tony's Iranian cousin, Tehran Tony) - a mammoth editing process that took me c. 20 hours We cover every chapter and discuss how our real-world learnings are reflected in Professor Taleb's teachings. We will also share an essay on our findings, that you can subscribe to at rationalvc dot com. I highly recommend watching/listening to our previous episode on the classic "Fooled by Randomness" before this one. Accessible on all platforms.

I noticed something new this time traveling that I haven't seen before Asking ChatGPT where to go, it would recommend us to go to specific places, so we went, and we were then surrounded by other foreigners who also were there, and then I saw some of them open their phone and yes there was them also asking where to go to....ChatGPT So you now have ChatGPT being the travel guide for a substantial amount of people, and because it has a tendency to normal/average answers, you kinda end up at normie tourist traps Then even if you ask for more authentic places, those thousands of other people also asked that, so it just funnels hundreds to thousands of people per day to the same exact places You could call it ChatGPT Tourism?
