The Election Commission has repeatedly said not to trust early trends on TV. They are as real as the LinkedIn hustle stories and are made up and sensationalized for TRP amid intense competition among channels on counting day. Counting usually starts at 8 :30 a.m., and first-round numbers are typically uploaded between 9 :00–9 :30 a.m., but channels start showing trends as early as 8 :00 a.m. Wait at least till 10 :00 a.m. for a clearer and more reliable picture.

A couple stops their white Subaru Outback right in the middle of traffic in Auburn, WA with the passenger door wide open. The woman with glasses leans out yelling and making faces while the man in the white shirt joins the chaos on the highway. Peak reckless behavior did they really think this was okay?

Everyone obsesses over Starship's height and thrust. The number that actually matters: cost per kg to orbit. Falcon 9 brought it from ~$54,500 (Shuttle era) to ~$1,500. Starship targets <$100. A 500x reduction in 25 years. That's the curve enabling Mars, lunar bases and orbital industry. Everything else is a consequence of that one number.

The fateful date arrives. Journalists are getting decked up trying to hide the puffy eyes with makeup. It’s the counting day. There are at least seven Number #1 news channels, fighting tooth & nail to be Number #1 again. The stage is set. The anchors are in the studio, early morning, hair neatly parted, well oiled, looking fresh, chatting calmly at 7:59 am. But at 8:01, they declare war. “THE TRENDS ARE IN” The trends are not in. The people who are counting have just ordered tea. They are untying the red-tape of the postal ballot stack, showing the other guy a threat to life he received last night. The official ECI website shows a blank, but in the studio, the enthusiastic anchor has already crowned the new chief minister. The other journalist chimes in by quoting the cab driver she met, when she was there for the weekend. Now the driver’s words are the summation of what “100s of people said across 13 districts”. Suddenly a siren starts blaring.

In addition to the @GalaxEye team, would like to extend my Congratulations to the investors who have shown the faith in the audacity of this young start up. It’s when the ‘ecosystem’ - tech talent, investors, enabling govt policy - all converges, that such success arrives.

@coolfunnytshirt Murali is right. At this rate, we don’t even need bowlers. Just install a high-speed bowling machine at one end and let the batsmen swing until they get a carpal tunnel. At least the machine won't feel 'disrespected' when it goes for 30 runs an over.

Muttiah Muralitharan says, IPL is now pure entertainment business. T20 followers need entertainment. They prepare flat pitches because low scores are boring for sponsors and viewers. Low scores can lose sponsors. Pitches should be bowler friendly too for a good contest. Agree?

Check any night flight’s business class; those who have paid for the tickets from their own pockets are not bothered about food or drinks and just want to catch up on their sleep. Those whose tickets are paid by their employers or got somehow upgraded keep playing with the seat recliner, reading light, entertainment system while enjoying the drinks and food.

@theskindoctor13 You’re right about the 'Dust settling.' In six months, he’ll be back in office, and the ₹12,000 will be written off as a 'processing fee' for his unplanned vacation. In India, a suspension is just a paid sabbatical with extra steps.

Sibasish Sandilya, the topper of the Assam Public Service Commission exam in the Forest Service, was caught accepting a bribe. I know, I know, what’s special about that? Officials get caught for this every now and then. What’s special is the amount: ₹12,000. A top-ranking gazetted officer risking his career and reputation for just ₹12,000 is beyond me. Why? Maybe this level of brazenness comes from the fact that first, in India, getting caught in corruption has nothing to do with any lasting loss of reputation, and second, they know that once the initial dust settles, they’re eventually reinstated.

@theliverdoc Sir, you didn't stop wearing the coat for 'science.' You stopped because your personality can't compete with an AYUSH influencer’s lighting & aesthetic reels. Admit it: you're just jealous their engagement is higher than your patient recovery speed.

I stopped wearing white coat routinely because every Tom (Homeopathy), Dick (Ayurveda) and Harry (Naturopathy) on social media started to wear one as a tool for false authority/credibility. Recently an Ayurveda graduate with the IQ of a sterile rolled gauze piece came wearing one ONLINE to debate me on science and pseudoscience. In India, the white coat is soon becoming a sign to mask professional inferiority complex or a desperate, beggarly appeal for recognition in medical and health for pseudoscience peddlers and legalized quacks because the government here has messed up the medical hierarchy (even letting physiotherapists use the title of Dr.). So lose the coat. Doesn't matter anymore.
Medscape@Medscape

While the white coat remains a powerful symbol in medical education, its daily utility is shifting as clinicians prioritize comfort and approachability. Recent studies suggest that patient trust is built through demeanor and communication rather than attire, leading many physicians to favor fleece jackets or scrubs. Do you still view the white coat as an essential component of professional identity? mdsc.pe/3QARQBb
