I have such incredible news !!alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah 🥹❤️ My nerves are in great shape, which means this surgery has a very high chance of restoring my bilateral hearing loss. Nothing in my life has ever meant more to me than the thought of finally fixing my ears through surgery, and now it’s within reach 🥹 From my hearing tests (as shown below), the diagnosis points to possible conductive hearing loss caused by damage to both my middle ears. The estimated cost from Aga Khan is about 500K KES per ear, inclusive of everything. I’m sharing my journey because I want anyone dealing with similar issues to be more informed than I was. I learned too late how important early intervention is, and I hope this helps someone else avoid the same delays. Now, I know some people were triggered yesterday about their idea of me setting up a paybill 😅. I actually love how much you all recognize my mobilizing power and yes, I know it scares some of you. I’ve never put out a paybill for myself; it’s always been for others. If that bothers you, I already know where you stand. My influence and my platform will always belong to the voiceless, and I cherish the fact that you know I could raise millions if I chose to. One comment even said, “I dare Hanifa to put up a paybill for herself ,you’ll know the meaning of fundraise,” and I couldn’t stop giggling. It truly moved me. That said, I’m not putting up a paybill for myself right now . I believe I can manage this for the moment. I’m just deeply grateful that I have a real shot at hearing clearly again. I do not take any of your love and support for granted. By Allah, I am humbled, honored, and so thankful. May your generations be endlessly blessed ❤️ And no, I won’t say I’m “taking a break from Twitter” because we all know that would be a lie lol but I’ll be tweeting less and less until my surgery.
