I have told here liberally before. I will tell once again. Men's mental health matters too. Just because they are silent doesn't mean that they are strong. Women break down easily, cry, whine, winge - society is OK with it. Men bottle up everything inside. If they whine or cry, society calls them "weak" and asks them to "man up". One day, they can't take it anymore. They either explode or implode. And neither of it is good. I have seen so many males cry in my clinic. I let them. Perhaps, my clinic is the only place where they can let down their guard. Men are under considerable stress. Even in today's day and age, in India, the main onus of earning and giving financial stability falls on a man's shoulders. He may want to chuck that job away and stay at home, but he can't do it. Right from parental wellbeing to looking after spouse and kids, for their education, their weddings, post retirement savings, health care costs...man bears the major chunk of it in majority of households. Add to this all sorts of family dynamics. Men - kindly seek help if you are unable to cope. Women who love their men - kindly take your men to a healthcare professional if you see that they are suffering. Disclaimer: tweet not for feminists. Kindly stay away. 🙏🏼
