@maxonredshift Where, if anywhere, can I find information on what's going on under the hood to create RS post effects like Bloom and Streak? Looking to more accurately replicate in Nuke the RS post effects I look-dev with in C4D. Surprised there aren't OFX tools for this?

@cgpov You mean from industry accounts too or just general X nonsense? Over the years I’ve found the algo is pretty good at keeping in line with only things I tend to read/watch. Managed to keep it pretty clean and almost exclusively CG/VFX for quite a while.

@SpenserFX @rendernetwork We get security audits by larger brands and my IT team would understandably shut this down SO FAST. I do think it’s worth a conversation with RNDR Net to see what they recommend. There has to be a safe path forward here for full-size studios. @rendernetwork thoughts on this?

It took me 2 years to get our IT team and SLT to agree to allow me to use it with our studio - the argument was simple I can get renders that take 2 days from our internal team back in 2 hours and naturally the cost analytics need to be addressed but if you’re billing the clients for renders you should be fine there. I think the security concerns are the most legitimate stake and idk the details behind their servers and networks but to me it feels secure. I’ve rendered work for some of the largest clients globally and have no issues. At the end of the day we can’t compromise our speed for really any reason - clients don’t accept it and consumers are running circles around us with easy button operations so speed is the key to efficiency imo

@SpenserFX @rendernetwork Do you know of any decent size studios utilizing RNDR Network on the regular? Are there any security concerns offering up access your system to contribute GPU power? RNDR is probably the single largest selling point for me switching us over to Octane.

Want to get better at animation quickly, esp as a junior motion designer? Do this exercise in After Effects weekly - the key being “set all keys by hand, on every frame” Guarantee you’ll not just get fast at it - you’ll start SEEING timing and spacing BEFORE you set those keys.

@DiscGolfNetwork Why on earth would I pay for a service that fails as soon as I try to connect my laptop to an HDMI, Airplay to my TV, or stream from my phone?? And the AppleTV app loses audio sync within 60seconds. So so so frustrating.
