This is apartheid, plain and simple. Palestinian prisoners already experience injustice in Israeli military courts, torture in Israeli prisons, and now executions legalized by the Israeli government. No more genocide and no more ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

BREAKING: Israel's Knesset has passed a law to execute Palestinian detainees. Death by hanging. Mandatory sentencing. No pardon. 90 days to carry out. It applies through military courts with a 96% conviction rate. It does not apply to Israelis.

@MarioNawfal @verifiedjeff Dude, Hamas and Hezbollah simply regroup and rearm and recommence terrorising Israelis… even when left to their own devices. Sovereign states are responsible for disarming and policing illegitimate orgs and paramilitaries within their boarders. If they can’t do that, then..!?

I never said "Israel bad", so let's skip this BS For peace in the region, maybe start by not bombing syria anymore and pulling out of their territory, bombing hezbollah in lebanon and then PULLING OUT of lebanon, seek a 2 state solution for Palestinians re Iran, bomb the shit out of the regime, weaken the hell out of them, destroy their proxies, that's all understandable from an Israeli poiint of view. let's just not turn the country into a failed state If the goal is peace, the path is not rocket science

I'm honestly very fkn upset! Israel's Defense Minister just blatantly said they will occupy 10% of Lebanon even AFTER the war, and over 600k people that have their homes there cannot return! And also today, Netanyahu is saying that after the Iran war, the Strait of Hormuz needs to be bypassed using pipelines from Saudi to the Mediterranean I'm trying to be objective on everything, but after the destruction of Gaza, recent unwarranted bombing of Syria a few days ago, and now this, I am struggling to remain objective! Israel needs to reconsider its foreign policy or the cycle of violence won't stop! You cannot occupy Lebanon and expect the Government to disarm the militia that was founded BECAUSE of Israeli occupation decades ago! You cannot bomb Syria non stop and expect the people and the Government to sit idly and normalize relations You cannot wipe out Gaza and keep occupying it, then pass a law where the death penalty applies to Palestinians and not Israelis, and expect Palestinians to not be radicalized and fight back You cannot expect to bomb Iran, then propose a pipeline that benefits you, and expect the Arab world to become allies I want Hezbollah gone. I want the Iranian regime gone. I want Palestinian radicalization gone. But this is NOT the way to do it! This is NOT the way to achieve peace in the region!
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

My worst nightmare for Lebanon is coming true, and I am beginning to seriously question my assumption that Israel does not want to annex Lebanese territory The Defense Minister's statement today that Israel will occupy a part of Southern Lebanon after the war is inexcusable How can they expect to get rid of Hezbollah, which was founded because of Israel's occupation of Lebanon, if their goal is to occupy Lebanon again?!

The Israeli government is about to pass a law mandating the death penalty, only for Palestinian prisoners. Mass execution by hanging, solely on racial lines. This is apartheid and the next step in the genocide of Palestinians, already systematically tortured in Israeli prisons.

I know the Nazi card is overused and almost never applies, but what the Israeli Knesset has overwhelmingly voted for today, a law to mass murder Palestinian detainees- prisoners who, inconveniently, cannot just be bombed in Gaza or shot in the streets- a law introduced by a genocidal minister with an international arrest warrant, is the most dystopian and evil shit perhaps any country has done since Nazi Germany.

Tell me you've never worked in a military intelligence community or targeting enterprise without actually saying so. It absolutely IS unreasonable to "ask IDF to present clear & convincing evidence that this journalist operated" as a #Hezbollah fighter. And if you had spent even one day conducting intel or targeting activities, you would know that - and understand why. I've done both @USArmy rather than @IDF, but general principles related to intel & targeting activities are fairly similar across enterprises. Since I'm way more familiar with #USA rather than @Israel doctrinal publications, I'll draw from 🇺🇸 material. Most isn't widely available, but there is enough public domain material to cover general intel principles. For us, the foundational pub is EO 12333, which provides structure, guidance & responsibilities for various 🇺🇸 intelligence community (IC) activities. As the very first line of EO 12333 indicates, "Timely, accurate, and insightful information about the activities, capabilities, plans, and intentions of foreign powers, organizations, and persons, and their agents, is essential to" national security (pic 1). To accomplish that goal, military IC elements are assigned 4 general tasks (also pic 1). If you spend even a few seconds studying this guidance, you'll notice that informing the general public is not an assigned task of the IC. We exist to provide "timely, accurate, and insightful information" to support official decision-making processes, not wade into public affairs. "But, why not just release this information to the public as 'evidence' so we understand why you targeted this terrorist?" seems to be a question at the core of your "not unreasonable" comment. And this is why it's so obvious you know nothing about actual IC & targeting activities. Not only is that not our job, but releasing "evidence" to the public risks burning our sources & methods. By "burning" I mean compromising the effectiveness of that source/method by informing the adversary (along with the public) exactly how we determined a person/object should be targeted. For human sources, compromising them can literally cost them their lives. Speaking of HUMINT, there are 6 basic types of intelligence collection - with human intel being 1 of the 6 (pic 2). Each type works together within the IC to develop actionable intelligence to inform decision-making within our various echelons of command or areas of responsibility. Just as all 6 function in the IC, releasing "evidence" to the public that was gathered using any of these types can gradually be pieced together by adversaries using the "mosaic" method of intel collection. Releasing "evidence" on just one target may or may not be enough to burn a source. But publicizing this intel becomes a trend, it's more likely that enough information will be available to the adversary (who is monitoring open source intel) to gradually figure out a specific source or method...and then it is burned by the mosaic effect. Not to mention the sheer volume of targets we're talking about. How many strikes has 🇮🇱 conducted in Gaza & southern Lebanon alone since 10/7? How many have 🇺🇸 + 🇮🇱 carried out so far in Ops Epic Fury/Roaring Lion? I don't have enough info to quantify those figures, but both are easily in the thousands. Even when a full explanation of a targeting decision is released to the public on occasion, hundreds of staffhours go into redacting & prepping & briefing a package each time. Militaries aren't staffed to do that work at scale...nor should they be since our focus is warfighting. Regarding Shaib specifically, @LTC_Shoshani announced he "posed a tangible threat to the lives of IDF troops in southern Lebanon" (link in 1st reply). You can choose to believe that. Or not. But it IS "unreasonable to ask IDF to present clear & convincing evidence" Shaib was #Hezbollah. If you think otherwise, then you clearly don't understand intelligence activities or military targeting operations.

It's not unreasonable to ask IDF to present clear & convincing evidence that this journalist operated as a member of Hezbollah's military forces. If they have evidence (e.g. documents, tapped phone records), they should release it, not simply make an assertion in a tweet.

Of course there "has been no evidence provided by" @IDF that Ali Hassan Shaib operated as a Hezbollah terrorist. In all the years I spent as a military lawyer, any guesses how many times we released to the public "evidence" that supported a targeting decision? That's right. Zero. That's not the purpose of sensitive intelligence. But if that's the standard you're using, did President Aoun provide "evidence" to support his claim that the attack "is a blatant crime that violates all the norms and treaties under which journalists enjoy international protection in wars"? Didn't think so. If Alex Crawford hadn't built her career running cover for terrorists & stoking anti-Israel sentiment, she might realize the double standards she exhibits mean her reporting aligns more closely with propaganda than "journalism."

SOME OF THE KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM MY INTERVIEW WITH JOE KENT. I decided to provide this summary because the media have either ignored the interview or focused on more trivial bits of the interview without reporting on some of Kent's astonishing statements and misdirection. You can decide for yourself. 1. I pressed Joe Kent on widespread allegations from multiple sources and in multiple news outlets about his leaking of classified information and an investigation that started well before he resigned. He denied leaking classified or confidential information to anyone at any time and said he was unaware of an investigation. 2. Kent denied leaking Charlie Kirk's group texts to Candice Owens, which were given to him in confidence by Andrew Kolvet, despite Kolvet implying otherwise. Kolvet issued his own video stating Kent suggested Kovet release the texts to the public, which he refused to do. Soon thereafter, Owens released them and has obsessively used the texts to suggest Israel assassinated Charlie. 3. Kent accused Israel of starting the 12-day war against Iran and our subsequent bombing of the Iranian nuclear sites. I know for a fact that Israel did not launch that operation without the go-ahead by President Trump. Furthermore, Israel did not force the President to bomb the nuclear sites. President Trump knew exactly what he was doing and made the decision after consulting with his civilian and military advisers. 4. Kent insisted that Israel was going to attack Iran several weeks ago and, again, forced President Trump to launch our current military campaign (in coordination with Israel) against Iran. The President, Marco Rubio, John Radcliffe, and others, all deny it. 5. He insisted that Khamenei wanted a peace deal and had issued a fatwa years ago declaring that Iran would never develop a nuclear weapon. I knew this was as absurd argument and pressed Kent. The President's envoys also contradicted this by the facts, as have others, as there are obvious and plentiful facts of Iran's pursuit of a nuclear weapon, manufacture and accumulation of nuclear material, its violation of nuclear agreements, and its clandestine activities surrounding the entire decades' long project. 6. I mentioned Iran had lied about the reach of its ballistic missiles, to include most of Europe, to which Kent said nothing. 7. Kent's obsession with Israel as the aggressor against Iran was apparent throughout the interview. He repeatedly portrayed Iran as the victim, ignoring Iran's myriad acts of terrorism and its establishing, funding, training, and arming of Hezbollah and Hamas, among other things. 8. Kent repeatedly accused Israel of controlling President Trump's decisions respecting Iran, ignoring my repeated mentioned of the myriad examples of Iran's 47-years of acts of terrorism and war against our country, embassies, military installations, military personnel, and assassination attempts against the President and other top administration officials. 9. Kent ignored the repeated declarations by the President that he would not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon, and repeatedly insisted that Iran was not close to making a nuclear weapon, in direct contradiction of Iran's own representations to Special Envoys Witkoff and Kushner in the final rounds of negotiations before the President ordered the current military actions, as well as CIA Director Radcliffe's sworn testimony and the statements of others in the know. 10. When I asked Kent to name the 18-intelligence agencies that he claims unanimously concluded Iran was not close to having a nuclear weapon, he did not. Of course, the President makes the final decision based on all the information provided to him, including not only intelligence information but information from other sources as well, and other circumstances. Nonetheless, Kent's assertion cannot be verified. 11. One of the most preposterous and pernicious of Kent's views was his insinuation that Israel may have been behind the assassination of Charlie Kirk, which he declared during his interview with Tucker Carlson. I pressed him hard on this. He tried to adjust his insinuation to suggest there could have been a foreign actor but that was clearly an equivocation. He also claimed he could not provide specifics as he could not reveal them, or the information was classified or whatever. But he insisted it needed to be pursued. Obviously, he has no information to support any of it. It was a blatant antisemitic trope, to go along with his other obsessions with Israel. 11. I asked Kent about the timing of his resignation and the provocative claims in his letter, as well as his allegations against Israel and supposed Israeli lobbyists and their claimed influence on the President (convincing him to go to war). He responded with generalities, talked about a media echo chamber, and repeated his charge that the President essentially was not making his own decisions. He also said he did not issue his letter at the outbreak of the war because he had hoped the President would quickly reverse course. Clearly, his resignation, letter, and the timing was intended for media consumption and to undermine the President and, he hoped, delegitimize the President's decisions, which Kent knew would be used by the media, the Democrats, the Woke Reich, and others against the President and his decisions. There was much more. You can listen for yourself here:
