Very concerned with AJ Dybantsa “Global Icon” narrative. Feels forced.
Let him become a global icon because of his play on the court.
Too much media too early can be bad.
For Washington Wizards … I prefer someone who lives and breaths basketball.

If AJ is the pick, I believe you still start Ky. I’m team ‘get your best 5 on the court’.
It’s not the cleanest fit bc Ky as your best perimeter defender isn’t ideal (fouls too much) and team shooting isn’t great.
However, a Trae/Tre backcourt feels defensively disastrous.

I think Dawk wants DP, he loves grassroots, however he knows Utah wants AJ. The master plan is to bluff taking AJ trade down and fleece.
Utah played dirty last year it is time to return the favor.

2 and Ace for 1 would be intriguing but if AJ ends up being the clear cut best player in the draft then that would haunt the Wizards for years. I think just staying put and figuring out the fit later is the best path

Rebuild good: They've drafted a lot of players who could start and will get 2nd and 3rd contracts.
Rebuild bad: Outside of Sarr, who definitively starts next yr? Some guys play defense but can't shoot, some play offense but can't defend. Ky can do both. Anyone else?
