@TheCinesthetic Last Christmas, yes not technically the *ending* but the whole final act was ruined for me when the twist was revealed.

@TheCinesthetic Gary Oldman as Sid Vicious for Sid & Nancy. Everyone already knew he was a phenomenal actor, but even for his talents a transformation like that seemed a stretch too far, but he nailed it.

@LexsWorld @RealEmirHan Stupid take. Like genuinely, painfully dumb. Reality is one hit to the face from anyone could knock anyone out. A well placed hit to the face from my 5 year old could feasibly knock an adult out, hell I once got knocked loopy for a cpl of mins by a face bump from my DOG’S head.

Might work. I won’t hold my breath though, for one simple reason: while Jim Davidson is easily replaceable as host (you just need someone to crack “jokes” over the dryness of all the snooker), John Virgo is completely irreplaceable and was the true beating heart of the original.

🎱 It's official - Big Break is back! Paddy McGuinness and Stephen Hendry will be joined in studio by professional snooker players, from across the globe, straight off the competition circuit, in a bid to win their contestants the cash prize. More ➡️ bbc.in/3Rj4ULL

@RealEmirHan I'm impressed with this stunt work, but.... this is the kind of thing that makes women falsely believe they can survive hand-to-hand against a man. In reality one face hit from him would knock her out.

Michael Fassbender literally slammed Gina Carano’s head into a wall in Haywire (2011) She said “he had no problem slamming me into anything.” “He slammed my head so hard I lost it for second.” She hit him back with vase and thought, “I’m so fired. I’m going to lose this job.”

@Cave0fWonders Now they start selling them again after I had mine stolen back in Feb 2025 and spent over a year and 5 visits (plus a cruise on the Fantasy) mourning their loss because DLP no longer sold them, until I found a pair being sold online from an Oxfam charity shop! Best ears ever 🏴‍☠️❤️

@TheCinesthetic I used to train lifeguards, it was an intense full-on week course so things needed lightening up on occasion. I used to include this skit for two equally valid reasons: 1) it did lighten the mood. 2) it’s actually a great example of good (if slightly over-zealous) lifeguarding!

1996 feels surreal in hindsight, Jim Carrey was at the absolute peak of his comedy superstardom while Will Ferrell was only beginning his rise on Saturday Night Live. A perfect crossover point between two comedy eras.

@PeasOneDay @WholesomeMeme That would be dreadful. Brings to mind how very little in the world can make me move quite so fast as being sat on a bench and realising it is one of those “talking benches” that have become popular over the last few years.

@PopBase @PeasOneDay Brilliant tribute, but why not when Dick Van Dyke turned 100 in December? Did he not deserve Lego too? (He gets to build with Lego now so it’s all good at least)

@Marnis1971 @JimShull My thoughts exactly, it is one of the most consistently vibrant areas at DLP, with the ride, shop, and restaurant always healthily populated, which is especially impressive given that it is tucked slightly out of the way and could be easily missed.

@JimShull Why post a photo of a closed park to suggest it’s not a popular attraction ? Quite the opposite and public interest certainly hasn’t dimmed here.

#Ratatouille was the first of the Disney Parks ‘mini lands’. Fully immersive experiences but a single ride. Problem is once open they are never improved or expanded & when the IP grows stale the public interest dims.
