Screenshot for one of my apps from 2024 that I sold later.
Good times, I was never able to replicate the same ASO success as with this one 🥲.
At peak, I think it was doing 100k downloads a month, all organically, $0 ad spend.
It was a mix of luck and relentless conversion rate optimization.
I was lucky, because right after the boost, the app stayed rather high and kept bringing 20-50 downloads a day.
That traffic allowed me to keep A/B testing the title, logo, and screenshots, slowly improving the conversion rate.
Without it, it's somewhat challenging because the app conversion rates remain at 2-3%, because it is not high enough under any relevant keyword.
The app was super simple and took me 2 days to build (before vibe coding was a thing)

@Sckalper @Helloparrott @VasiliyZukanov I am native developer but when i need to make cross platform then i choose flutter
English

@Helloparrott @VasiliyZukanov KMP is an obvious choice for native dev. Also, it's future is more, let's say, promising

Time to see if Kotlin Multiplatform is really worth it 🤓
Current status:
✅ Backend server is up and running
✅ Android app is on Google Play (UI is… let’s just say “designed by me” 😅)
Next milestones:
⬜ Apply the new design (assets are ready)
⬜ Build and ship the iOS version of the app
KMP setup so far:
👉 Business + networking logic already shared
👉 Navigation logic already shared
👉 Android UI is pure Android-specific Jetpack Compose
Plan:
🔹 Rebuild the Android UI with Compose Multiplatform in shared code
🔹 Keep maps UI native
🔹 Pray that with so much shared code, the iOS app won’t take too much extra work
🔹 Ship to the App Store 🚀
🔹 Rest
Any real-world tips from more experienced KMP devs?

@oliverspryn @github_skydoves Then what they released in 9.0.X versions 😅
English

@github_skydoves I always wondered why they never did that prior. It's about time.
