@TaupeAvenger New pedestrian walkway should open later this year. Train has failed a few times recently stranding passengers until they could secure the sterile area between the terminal and curbside. Not having a walking option to go with the train when it was originally built was ludicrous

The design of Sacramento’s airport is honestly nuts I have no idea what the little 1200’ train is supposed to do that a moving sidewalk couldn’t have done better.

My wife, Nichole, and I are on a roadtrip. We’ll have to take some video! Today, we drove up CA 395 from the south. I love these Sierra towns! We stopped in Bishop, California and I popped into a BBQ shanty. I could smell the smoke a couple miles away. Among the best pulled pork I’ve ever had. And I’m from North Carolina.

@TaupeAvenger In preparation for the takeover many folks from Hong Kong came to the US to have kids. That way they could flee if things went bad. Many of those US citizens are now thriving and productive members of society here. I would bet Taiwanese folks are doing the same.

@learning_yohei I would guess Spanish is number 1 by far. Some learn French and some have learned Mandarin. Several people that fought in Afghanistan or Iraq have learned Pashto, Dari or Arabic

The world’s worst highway, the 405. I hate this highway with a visceral hatred and a passion I used to reserve for America’s enemies. It sucks the life out of you every moment you spend inching up the road toward the Sepulveda Pass on the way to LAX. It’s a slice of humanity you have to miss. I can’t wait to never drive it again!

@TaupeAvenger I will be curious to see some actual reporting on this war in the future if we can get it. Most of the early footage of drone attacks by Ukrainians seemed to against vehicles or planes that were already out of commission. I believe that has changed but haven’t seen much on it

I heard on a podcast that Ukraine’s average cost to kill a Russian soldier with a drone was under $900. That’s insanely cheap. A complete revolution in warfare the US absolutely needs to copy. We need to have observers in Ukraine learning everything they’re doing if we don’t yet.
