Worst off-season imaginable, man. Nightmare scenario played out
Rick Stroud@NFLSTROUD
Bucs linebacker Lavonte David will have a news conference today at 2 pm at One Buc Place, the team announced. Speculation is that he may retire after the team signed a second veteran inside linebacker Monday by reaching an agreement on a one year deal with Carolina free agent Christian Rozeboom.

@TrdeToScale What’s the career ladder look like for both at 22 starting at 70k in a office job whats the ceiling ? Same could be said for option B ? Definitely more important than the short term at 22
English

@gregauman If memory serves me right didint Jason swing pretty Heavy his first year on the job and it did not go well between like Michael Johnson and anthony Collins and adjusted to more of a home grown talent approach

Fundamentally, Bucs want to save the big contracts for the players they draft and develop. Literally haven't paid more than $30 million total for an outside player since Brady in 2020.
But in-house extensions? Since then:
Wirfs $120m
Goedeke $90m
Winfield $84m
Vea $71m
Barrett $68m
Godwin $66m
Dean $52m
McCollum $48m
Evans $46m
Davis $44m
DSmith $31m

@gregauman Why does it seem every year we are scared to give out the big contracts? A guy like Max or Trey are complete game wreckers. Even a guy like Nakobe Dean would’ve been a great fit for us.

I’ll continue to mock the Bam Adebayo free-throw discourse.

@Bonkerss1231 @MitchyP_9 @gregauman @Buccaneers @jasonrlicht @BarstoolGruden Nothin screams a legend should stay like firing a head coach and gm SMH 😂
English

@insanitysgift @MitchyP_9 @gregauman He didn’t walk over money.
He walked when they chose Bowles and Licht over fixing the leadership.
Legends get tired of mediocrity. Brady’s final season was 8–9 under Bowles and Licht.
That should’ve been the reset. @Buccaneers @gregauman @jasonrlicht @BarstoolGruden

"It's difficult to see him go elsewhere," Jason Licht says.

An immediate and lasting impact on our franchise.
English

@Bonkerss1231 @MitchyP_9 @gregauman Hardly call that letting him walk when Evans chose not to resign and made it clear it wasn’t about money
English

@MitchyP_9 @gregauman Let’s rewind this.
We re-signed Godwin coming off a devastating ankle injury but let Evans walk?
Evans has been the most consistent player this franchise has had for a decade.

@OldeWorldOrder Backlash over a pro noun are we really this sensitive these days

Bleacher Report names Pelle Larsson Miami’s ‘hidden gem’:
“A 6'5" guard, Larsson has improved nearly every aspect of his game in Year 2, becoming a mainstay in Miami's starting lineup. In 32 starts, Larsson is averaging 12.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and shooting 52.6 percent overall in 27.3 minutes.”

@NixForSix Super Bowl - 1 mistake your out
Or
The other 3 - you need to win consistently through multiple series
Could argue either point
