Having a hard time understanding which @getdbt models drive @SnowflakeDB consumption? We at @sundeck_io open-sourced a tool to help categorize things. It's called QTag: qtag.dev. It also works with @sigmacomputing, @_hex_tech, @ModeAnalytics and custom comments.

Clear layers should allow data workers to use their preferred lang, dsl, tool, api, etc. independent of the way the data happened to land or which compute vendor a platform team did credit pre-commit with. I prefer that to an opaque monolith

Constant posts of #ChatGPT responses are bonkers. If @Twitter existed when @Google launched, would everyone have posted search results? Yes, ChatGPT is 🤯. It's also a bot. I don't want to see a book report from a bot anymore than your kid. I thought @elonmusk was killing bots...

I also feel for @syrusakbary (who forked). @wasmerio has done a lot to help accelerate the adoption of #wasm in the world and it can be super frustrating when what appears to be a reasonable technical contribution is held up by conflicting definitions of what's important to users

I can't help but feel sympathy for the likely frustration of @tschneidereit (who blocked the contribution) and the broader wit-bindgen community.

Today's new idea: DuckDuckDB. A privacy centric fork of @duckdb and @ChromiumDev that's funded by @Microsoft and uses vectorized execution to automatically profile and block and/or delete cookies, browser data, etc. cc @DuckDuckGo

@andygrove_io Dask has been historically built on @ApacheCalcite, right? Is DataFusion replacing or complimenting Calcite?

A simple way that I think about the partnership and relationship between @ApacheArrow and @substrait_io. Arrow provides a standardized way to move data. Substrait provides a standard way to communicate data processing instructions. (From my talk on @VLDBconf)
