Lawmakers should continue the discussion and take a broader look at limiting excessive screen time in classrooms generally—including the overuse of Chromebooks, tablets, and other devices used for daily instruction. Students perform better when they can engage with teachers, books, discussions, and each other, rather than being trapped behind a screen all day.
