I've probably read more GLP-1 literature than most prescribing MDs, and I keep landing on the same conclusion; these drugs should just be over-the-counter! I can't find anything that justifies prescription-only status other than the side-effect profiles, which are misunderstood.

Andrew Huberman dropped a hard truth back in 2023 that still sparks debate: The “pot voice” is real. Chronic high-THC cannabis use literally alters speech patterns and time perception in the brain, making heavy users sound slow or “dumb” — even if they’re articulate when sober. But the much bigger concern? High-potency cannabis, especially in teens and young males, significantly raises the risk of psychosis later in life. Huberman cited strong Canadian research linking it to a large portion of street homelessness and severe mental health issues we see today. He’s not anti-cannabis (“live and let live”), but he’s clear: this is not the harmless drug many claim it is — particularly for developing brains. Have you noticed the “pot voice” in heavy users… or known someone whose mental health changed after heavy cannabis use?
