A very personal update: I’ve been living some of the hardest weeks of my life for the last few months. I was questioning it all. My work, my purpose, my faith, my reason for being... everything. For weeks, it was hard for me to show up fully, and I swear that I saw only in black and white for a few weeks in there, too. Earlier this summer I took my annual blood samples that came back with some really alarming markers. I was in medical limbo for months. Test after test, doctors couldn’t tell me what was the cause of it. Thankfully, I found a doctor who specialized in internal medicine on the matter at hand. There are only two in the world. WILD. Anyways, I spent most of the summer living with the possibility that it could be my last one. I smiled through it all. I gave it my all and at times I felt unstoppable but when my head hit the pillow, I knew that my time was no longer mine and I was blessed to take another breath. In these beautiful moments of mortality, I focused on the beauty of life. The moments that took my breath away and the ones that filled it with joy and love. The people who made me feel human. And most importantly I focused on my Faith. That’s what got me through it all… God. As I faced these circumstances I made a promise to myself: speak the unspoken. Make the implicit explicit. Man, that promise blossomed my whole world. I am glad I made it early in life. To my wife, Lindsey, thank you for being my rock. For navigating the highs, the lows, and the uncertainty with love and grace. Today, I am grateful to let you know that after extensive testing and spending a lot of time at Mayo Clinic, I’ve been given a healthy diagnosis and I have a rich life ahead of me. I am not going to go into detail because we caught it early, I am now living a life of preventative hygiene not treatment. I am sharing this with you because we all have 1 million problems but when it’s our health on the line, we only have one. Please take care of yourself. Get blood work. Stay healthy. Speak the unspoken and make the implicit, explicit. Here is to living a rich life of service. Life is good. God is great.

We've decided to shut down @101dotxyz I apologize to all of our users for the silence on our part for the past few months, we needed the space to consider our next step. I know many of you expected different news. The story is simple: we made a bet that didn't play out. We built a web3 education platform believing the industry would mature in time for us to have a sizable market. It's been two years now, and although the space has made strides forward, it does not offer a meaningful market for our product. We considered a pivot, ditching the web3 elements and embracing AI-generated tutorials, but we decided that such a product was so different from what we'd built that it would require completely different insights, expertise, and enthusiasm. We are not building for the sake of building. We are building to change the world in the ways that excite and inspire us. And with that constraint in mind, there was no clear path ahead. So instead of wasting resources, we've decided to refund our investors and shut things down. The past two years have been an incredible journey for myself and the rest of the team. It's always sad to shut things down, but I'll always look back on this time with fondness. We learned so much and met so many incredible people. To everyone who's been a part of our journey: thank you. As for me, I'm enjoying a brief hiatus from the startup grind, but I'm looking to sink my teeth into a new project soon.
