ANNOUNCEMENT: After a period of reflection and after long careful consideration I know this was morally the right thing to do. I feel immense pride and sense of relief with my purchase which as of today cost me the new increased fee of £180.

This screenshot from #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye" shows that the LCARS display of Troi's bridge console is attached with screws. In later seasons, these screws are usually hidden under (or replaces by) black tape.

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2001, what's the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why

A man with a watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never sure. I built a PTP clock, and now I'm not sure what time it is. Video: youtube.com/watch?v=7r-cH1…

RE: MacBook Neo USB-C ports—found this clip via diego.caraballo on MacRumors forums. The way the Neo does it (no marking, two entirely different port capabilities) is the worst of both worlds :(
Jeff Geerling@geerlingguy

MacBook Neo looks like a great low-spec Mac—but limitations abound. Most egregious is the two USB-C ports, as reported by MacRumors, are USB 3.0 (10 Gbps), and USB 2.0 (480 Mbps). Both support charging, but only the USB 3.0 port supports DisplayPort! macrumors.com/2026/03/04/mac…

Since many are asking about my decision to exclude certain shows, this list is made up of only the shows I have watched. As a result, BSG, TNG, DS9 and Dr. Who don't make the list because I haven't seen them (although given everything I've heard - and judging from the odd episode I have seen - DS9 is at the top of the list of shows I really need to check out). I've also limited my picks to live-action shows otherwise anime series like Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex would squeeze a few of my current contenders out of the Top 10. Most of my picks hinge on how I felt (or feel) watching/rewatching each of these shows. A lot of them make my top ten because they bring back happy memories, not only of the shows themselves but of my life at the time I was enjoying them.

Top 10 Favorite (live action) Sci-fi Shows revised (to include Farscape)... 10. Star Trek: Voyager 9. Stargate: Universe 8. The Twilight Zone 7. Babylon 5 6. Farscape 5. Firefly 4. Stargate: SG-1 3. Black Mirror 2. Star Trek: The Original Series 1. Dark Matter (2015)

@BaronDestructo Ds9 especially once the dominion arc gets going is great, I only watched it in full a couple of years ago, unfortunately the Netflix transfer has a lot of analogue artefacting on it looks like a bad vhs tape a lot of the time

Alright, here's my review. For 3 hours it made my gut feel like a nuclear RBMK reactor having a meltdown, but pretty much all McDonald's does that to me, so I don't think that's specific to the Big Arch. The meat was bland, but no surprise there. However everything else was lovely! I liked the seeds on the bun, and that yummy sauce. It was fun to try, but I don't think I'll do it again. Thank you for coming to my KEN Talk.
