Introducing Lockdown Mode for ChatGPT. Lockdown mode is an advanced, optional security setting for higher-risk users, businesses, and enterprises. Lockdown Mode disables certain tools and capabilities in ChatGPT that an adversary could attempt to exploit to exfiltrate sensitive data from users’ conversations or connected apps via attacks such as prompt injections. This includes moving to cached web browsing, and preventing interactions with the web more broadly. While not designed for the average user, I think this will really help protect a lot of organizations who demand strong, deterministic security controls for their workflows.
