The BASED Act failed in committee. Modeled on Europe’s DMA, the bill would’ve restricted integrated services consumers value, like better search results & easier price comparisons. The DMA shows the risks: weaker innovation and harm to consumers/small businesses. 👏 Good call.

Last week @ITIFdc talked with the @FCC about changing their satellite spectrum sharing rules. We are happy with the proposed changes, but also pushed for sunsetting the new rules, and for the rules to only apply where there are GEO earth stations fcc.gov/ecfs/document/…
