I share prompts, build in public, and explore what humans still do best. In an automated world, the scarcest resource is directed human Will. 🔥

@itsolelehmann This is called "being a nerd about it," and basically every time you want to buy some product X you have to make Xs your new hobby and read a million reddit threads

Is there a name for brands that only focus on highest quality? it's not really luxury but a different category instead of trying to impress/flex/show big names etc I want to start only buying things that have quality for life but everytime I look for highquality, I just find luxury douchebag wannabe brands is there a name for this?

I remember the dotcom era clearly. The key difference then was that social media didn't exist, so ordinary people had no effective way to communicate their optimism or pessimism directly to each other. We had to rely on narratives & talking points promoted by centralized media -- TV, radio, magazines, newspapers. And they were all hyping the Internet. Until they weren't.

There is only one developed country on Earth with a healthy birthrate, so it is essential that we understand how they do it. What is Israel's secret, and is it replicable? Theoretically yes, it is. See the article below.

A lesson I've learned from reading history is that sometimes something just needs to be done for everyone's sake, but nobody wants to be the one to do it. Whoever ends up actually doing it is very, very, *very* rarely rewarded for his or her integrity, and is usually punished.

there is on subtle cultural element of the meta glasses that will make for a harder adoption than otherwise. it’s super duper subtle, it’s not the hardware, it’s not the tech, & it’s not any of the features. it’s also very core. can you guess what that is?

@waitbutwhy Holy smokes that handle is WAY larger than anyone ever knew. Frankly, it’s the group who has been trained that “speech is violence”… who then think actual violence is justified in response to speech.

Very few of us know the people at the tip of the spear. We can make the biggest impact by uniting against the handle, making that behavior far more taboo than it is now.

I genuinely hate that chatgpt has ruined em dashes. Anything with an em dash is now suspect. I love fucking em dashes and I'm hesitant to use them. AI was a mistake.

@philipjohnston You cannot change the mass of the planet. Evolution takes millions of years and humans are adapted to Earth's gravity. You might think we could adapt to the decrease in gravity but you would be wrong.

Interesting, I'll try this. When using it from the app, it hallucinates like crazy. For example, I asked it to rank the various language models and their strengths and weaknesses, and it listed "Claude o4" in its response. Maybe it's a system prompt thing, but I just can't trust it.

American says she has been going to look at rental units on the west side of Los Angeles, California for a month. Every unit that fits her needs is over $6,000 per month “Can someone please explain to me the LA rental market and where people are living on the west side that has a unit, washer, dryer, and ideally air conditioning and maybe one parking spot? Because my boyfriend and I have been looking for probably about a month. We're trying to move out in the next 30 to 60 days and there are just no options. And we go to these places and it's all between. It's all greater than $6,000. And like, what? Where are people living? We are willing to not live on the west side at this rate because this has just been such a nightmare, honestly. — I'm starting to really lose hope.”

WSJ just revealed OpenAI’s upcoming wearable AI device and it’s wild: - fully aware of your surroundings and life. - fits in your pocket like a third core device next to your MacBook and iPhone. - aims to replace your screen addiction, not add to it. - designed by Jony Ive, backed by Sam Altman. Ive didn’t want something worn on the body. Altman agreed. This could redefine personal computing.
