Nobody wants to speak to indians when they call customer support. They are rude, incapable of speaking English, and too stupid to think beyond the scripted responses. I in turn talk over them and demand a US customer service rep until they hang up or transfer me to one.

Interesting to see Tim’s so obviously reacting, if not panicking, to the Dunkin news. One wonders if competition might have similar effects in certain ultra-protected sectors. Alas, we’ll never know.

@AndrewLawton Unfortunately they aren’t responding to the cries of Canadians, they are only responding to competition. Tim Hortons has proven that they only have contempt for their Canadian customers. Funny how 10,000 Canadian workers are all of a sudden available to work.

@rightblend TH has shit on Canadians for too long. When we complained, they doubled down out of spite. I will never willingly walk into another TH again, no matter what they do. They heard our cries and twisted the knife out of contempt instead. They have the mentality “What u gonna to do?”

Tim Hortons says they'll hire 10,000 locals and cut back on temporary workers. They've damaged their brand and they know it. They disregarded Canadians looking for work when it was convenient for their bottom line. Now they're trying to save face. There's a lot of work to do to fix the immigration crisis in Canada. Companies like Tim Hortons have played a huge role in damaging our immigration ecosystem. Let's see how far they're willing to go to make things right.
