What @misaacstein wrote is spot on. What I requested in my legislation for Airbnb to report is pretty basic and common sense to help with oversight.

In other cities like New York, Airbnb is already disclosing much of the data it objects to in the New Orleans law. And their demand to withhold addresses seems to have no privacy impact on legal rentals. It would, however, provide a major protection to illegal ones.
