Anthropic ran their entire marketing operation with one person. $380 billion company. Paid search. Paid social. SEO. Email. App stores. One non-technical hire doing all of it — for 10 months. I pulled it apart. Compared it to every system we've built across the clients we've worked with. Then asked myself one question: If I had to reverse engineer this from scratch — what would it actually look like? Turns out the architecture isn't that complicated. @alexcooldev Because when you start to build you have limited resources to finding pmf and native is usually a nice to have on that journey. Later once pmf has been found it’s usually just a design decision that stays and people can’t be bothered switching

Why do so few people build native mobile versions for their SaaS?

@elonmusk I’ve discovered a tonne of new apps and software products through x directly through other users. But in my experience ads have been polluted with questionable advertisers and ad content that doesn’t really resonate with me. I think if @x is the world’s town hall, then naturally you either have to be part of the daily conversation or you have to discover through a person. I’d almost rather have a promoted products section on my/others profiles that advertises can pay to get added to from some kind of global library that then I can support / earn / filter from my content or anything else. This to me seems like a much more natural fit.

@prodhi_code @leonabboud i had issues installing, but once i did it and figured out that part as i was having convos with it, not even 10-15 messages in the cost of tokens was like $10 i wondered using that for months how much it would cost on claude code max subscription you get so much done with $150

I'm in a WhatsApp group with 120+ entrepreneurs. I asked who was using OpenClaw. One guy said he bought a Mac Mini but had yet to set it up. X makes it feel like everyone's caught on, but in reality the majority of the world has no idea what's happening with AI right now.

@stijnvwx Gotcha! Hardest part of ads for mobile apps is mostly dealing with attribution challenges which is where web2app have become super popular and tend to be easier to scale. Flick me a DM if you're keen to chat more on this😊

I don’t think it dies. There will be parts of that will, anything super utility based or outcome focused can easily be wrapped into a ai interface. However people will always wants fun ways to discover things. Entertainment, social, safety critical apps, etc… these things most likely will still have an important place as an app rather than an api call.
