COURT RULING DEFIED BY COWARDS🚩
The Supreme Court of Canada drew a very clear line in the landmark case of Multani v. Commission scolaire. They said an absolute ban on the kirpan was unconstitutional under the Charter, but only if ironclad safety conditions were strictly followed, so the blade could never be used as a weapon. The Court demanded it be worn completely concealed under clothing at all times, kept in its sheath, wrapped in heavy cloth, and sewn completely shut making sudden withdrawal impossible. That was the explicit condition. That was the limit of “religious accommodation.”
That line has been crossed, trampled, and spat on. Today we have people openly strutting around with long, sword-sized blades worn outside their clothing and blades that can easily be mistaken for actual weapons. Not small, discreet symbols. Not hidden. Not sealed. Not compliant with a single word of the Supreme Court’s ruling. These are being displayed prominently to project power, to intimidate ordinary people going about their day, and to push a political agenda. This is not about religion. This is the Charter of Rights being abused and weaponized as a get-out-of-jail-free card for political theater and intimidation.
Yet the courts, the prosecutors, the RCMP and politicians are actively enabling it through their cowardice and selective blindness. They will aggressively enforce laws against average Canadians for far less, but when it comes to this, they suddenly discover “sensitivity” and look the other way. Why? Because some groups have been granted protected status while the rest of us are told to shut up and accept being made to feel unsafe in our own country?
Why are the RCMP refusing to stop and deal with people openly violating the concealment requirement in plain sight? Why are they not searching individuals carrying these blades to verify they are actually "sewn shut" and inaccessible as the Supreme Court demanded? Why are you permitting what the highest court in the land said must never happen, a readily accessible blade being brandished in public?
Why are we creating a two-tiered system of justice? One set of rules for ordinary Canadians, and a completely different set for those who know how to manipulate the Charter for political gain. Why are we allowing religious freedom to be twisted into a shield for fear, division, and dominance displays while public safety is sacrificed on the altar of political correctness?
The Charter was never meant to be a tool for one group to intimidate the rest of society under the cover of “rights.” It was meant to protect "all individuals" from overreach and to ensure fairness. What we are allowing is the exact opposite: the weaponization of the Charter against the safety and equal treatment of the majority.
This is dereliction of duty. This is cowardice dressed up as tolerance. This is the slow destruction of the rule of law in real time. Enforce the Supreme Court’s conditions. Search and verify compliance when these blades are openly displayed. Charge those who turn supposed religious symbols into instruments of intimidation and political messaging.
Canadians are watching. We see the double standard. We see the manipulation. We see the selective enforcement. Do your jobs. Protect everyone equally. Or admit you no longer believe in equal justice under the law.
