Another remarkable change since starting ketotifen and luteolin for my MCAS: RAZOR BURN (red bumps after shaving, somewhat painful) is completely GONE. Literally zero, even using a not-new semi-dull razor. Have had bad razor burn my whole life...

@metabolicdang Very interesting. D rod talks about a similar defensive personality trait associated with balding individuals. Probably not but I wouldn’t be surprised if that rigidity causes tension around the scalp

Reich (1945) observed that somatic armoring begins at the head. "Ocular armor" is a chronic contraction of eye and head muscles, a persistent "band around the head," facial rigidity, nerve inflammation, and tinnitus (Baker, 1967). Elevated serotonin levels drive both degenerative eye disease and psychosis (Peat, 2006), filtering retinal input to the thalamus (Reggiani et al., 2023) and producing confusion and a deadened visual expression. Left unprocessed, this armor calcifies the face into a close-face helmet. Trapped inside, the ocular armored individual sees the world through a narrow visor. Everything becomes a hostile battlefield rather than a window for connection. Perception and sensation are split apart. Disconnected from bodily sensations, he becomes increasingly withdrawn and controlling, exhibiting autistic traits. If he forcibly rips the helmet open alone, the result is catatonic stupor or destruction. The ocular armored final stage is schizophrenia. Terrorized by a world he can no longer correctly perceive. Baker (1967) noted that beneath the madness is a deeper condition. When energy flow is blocked, "oneness with the cosmos is lost; we no longer feel contact with nature, and cosmic longing supervenes." The schizophrenic feels this longing most acutely. In fact, they "understand cosmic longing" and remain "quite alive and much in touch with health in a distorted way." But without bodily integration, the longing becomes terrifying "forces from beyond." Confronted with this, most retreat, and others destroyed. Like Gollum, they develop myopia and voyeurism, hiding in darkness while watching from a distance. Or worse, like Oedipus, they mutilate their eyes rather than endure the truth of reality. But there is a second path. Cosmic longing, integrated rather than suppressed, becomes introspection and wisdom. Theodor Baierl's painting "Knight with Death " offers the counter-image. Approached by Death, the knight opens his close-face helmet by choice. He sees reality clearly, including his own end. Using contre-jour, light is placed behind the knight. He is not riding toward the light, but bringing light into darkness. By shedding ocular armor, the knight ceases to be a trapped observer and becomes a participant in divine light. Like Odin, who sacrificed his eye, surrendering narrow physical sight for true solar vision and wisdom, the knight is transformed into a visionary. It was through this transformation that Death's horse recoiled in shock. Serotonergic plants have served as initiatory tools across ancient cultures, but only a few emerged intact. Those who did often became leaders. Campbell (1972) argues that modern society lacks such rituals, leaving boys in men's bodies. However, in the modern sick world, being in poor health and overcoming it has become an uninvited ordeal. Those who truly suffer and emerge with soul intact know how it differentiates them. One could say they have survived the psychological dismemberment that Campbell saw as missing. Like the knight who rode toward Death and did not flinch, you now carry light into the darkness. You were spared by grace. But you also looked and kept looking.

Being born blind completely abolishes the risk of developing schizophrenia One of the must utterly insane and fascinating examples of how little we know about mental illness Over decades of research there hasn't been a single case of congenital blindness + schizophrenia

@rudekyoni999 That's an insanely high calcium dose that will probably contribute to calcification on its own 2-2.5g is a good daily upper limit for most people

2L of coke contains a whopping 350-415mg of phosphorus in the form of pure phosphoric acid This is equivalent to 50-60% of the RDI before you even factor in that its bioavailability is near 100% For reference you'd need to eat up to 1lb of steak to hit the same RDI with its 40-70% phosphorus bioavailability Treating coke as a health drink is a one way track to calcification and kidney disease via skewed Ca:P ratio There are far better sources of caffeine + sugar

coke a day, keeps the doctor away? a 82 yo diabetic women with severe abdominal pain, had not passed stools for a few days came to the hospital. CT scan shows a large fecaloma(dehydrated stool). - 2L of Coke is given - “resulting in a significant reduction in the size of the faceloma -“return of bowl function” Coke is effective treatment for constipation and dehydration, I personally aim for 1L a day.

The Pope is not encouraging her. But if your faith is that weak... (Matthew 9:11): "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" (Matthew 9:12-13): "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick... For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
Dr Taylor Marshall™️@TaylorRMarshall

When I was an Anglican priest, I would meet Catholic priests who called me “Father” and said things like, “I’m praying for your priestly ministry.” This reinforced for me that I was approved by Catholic clergy and was therefore “valid”. It did terrible damage to my soul and it was very uncharitable of them - although they didn’t intend it. They confirmed me in my error. This is why I am against fake ecumenism. It set me back. The first Catholic priest who ever challenged me, saying I wasn’t a priest and that I should become a Catholic, was Msgr James Conley, who told me so in a friendly but firm way at a cafe in Rome by St Anne’s Gate in 2006. He’s now Bishop Conley of Lincoln Nebraska. Thank you, @bishop_conley My opinion is that Pope Leo (a cradle Catholic) does not fully understand how he is reinforcing Anglican errors by assuming kindness and encouraging their sacerdotal acts. The Anglicans interpret it as “full approval and 99% Full Communion.” Sometimes Protestants just need to be told “Let’s be one. True unity is in truth and communion. Protestantism is lacking and wrong. It’s time to become fully Catholic.” Do you agree?

Low NAD+ -> reduces SIRT1 -> ↑ COX-2, ER (estrogen) and AR (and DHT-induced AR), which further increases androgen-induced prostaglandins -> Further depletes NAD+ (↑PARP-1, which further increases COX-2) Thank goodness baldness is just genetic, otherwise it would be a nightmare

@AbudBakri Luis A Garza identified that PGD2 is elevated in bald areas. Topical PGD2 always causes alopecia. It seems that the only relationship with DHT is that it raises PTGDS and the lack of balance between PGD2+PGJ2 and the others is the problem, not DHT itself
