This brother of mine is trying to squeeze juice out of a rock Those are the rules governing the bar course for which you duly signed and assented too while joining the bar course, that's the standard of the bar course here and else where and that's what it takes to be an advocate

@nimipamela0 A law degree is as useless as nothing, a person with a law degree cannot offer a lot, just support her education to LDC that's when she would be of great value and can attain some good money compared to that. It's like doing accounting without CPA. Am not attacking her!

Why is Defense Counsel cross examining the prosecution witnesses on their police statements before they are duly tendered in as Defense Exhibits? I’m I missing something here?

An individual borrowed UGX 60m. The bank says that he only paid back UGX 56m. It also admits recovering an additional UGX 15m from selling his land. Shamelessly, it has filed a case for UGX 759,432,500, which is approximately 14 times the loan amount of 60m.

Did you know that lawyering is an art, not a science? It is shaped, refined, and perfected over time through skill, judgment, and experience. But here’s the hard truth many lawyers overlook; legal excellence alone is not enough. In The Art of Lawyering: Essential Knowledge for Becoming a Great Attorney, Paul M. Lisnek makes a point that every modern lawyer should take seriously, clients do not stay because you are brilliant. They stay because you serve them well. Today, competence is assumed. It is the entry requirement, not the differentiator. So what sets you apart? 👉 Client service. Clients remember; How quickly you returned their call Whether you kept them informed Whether they felt heard, guided, and prioritized Not just how well you argued the law. And here’s where it gets real; Many disciplinary complaints don’t come from poor legal work, they come from silence. From clients chasing their own lawyers for updates. A simple question every lawyer should ask themselves. “Would I be satisfied if I were my own client?” The fundamentals are simple but powerful: ✔ Return calls promptly ✔ Communicate consistently ✔ Keep your client informed at every stage Do this consistently, and you will stand out effortlessly. Because in the end excellence in law is not just about knowing the law… it is about serving people well. 📖 Worth the read Find it on our telegram below t.me/+jZ2V-hYEgcEwN…

@KwikirizaNova Secondly the court has assessors, why the public opinion? The judge seems biased already

Lawyers, I need your insight on this. The judge stated that she would seek public opinion on what people think should be the fate of Okello, based on the evidence presented in court. However, she also made it clear that the court would not rely on those opinions when delivering judgment, emphasizing that the decision would strictly be based on the court’s own findings. So the question is; if public opinion will not influence the final judgment, what is the purpose of inviting it in the first place? Isn’t it a waste of time? @sasmvn @GeorgeMusisi4 @kiizaeron @AAgather

@DouglasLwangaUg @OfficialFUFA @JSCLegal Point of correction. A patent is something so different, your confusing 3 things in one. A patent, a copy right and a trade mark. This particular scenario it's a trade mark and not a patent. Kindly take note of that. A word can be registered as a trade mark

@DouglasLwangaUg @OfficialFUFA @JSCLegal Yes he can successfully sue them and succeed. Trade mark includes word, slogans, signs, colours etc. from a clear observation the word janzi has its logo and it's very distinctive. A word can be registered as a trade mark. Fufa should sit with him pay damages for infringement

This was Minister @HonLugoloobi essentially conceding that had his trial continued to its rightful conclusion like former minister Agnes Nandutu’s did, he would have been convicted. So why did the former dPP Jane Frances Abodo withdraw charges against him?
Anthony Natif@TonyNatif

Can the @ODPPUGANDA give us an explanation as to why @AmosLugoloobi got a nolle prosequi and Agnes Nandutu was convicted? Amos Lugolobi literally had those iron sheets on his farm shade. Also, why weren’t the likes of @RebeccaKadagaUG, @MatiaK5 etc…. charged?

Indian Doctors successfully performed a groundbreaking hand transplant on a painter who lost both hands in a train accident. The 12-hour surgery, hailed as a miracle, involved meticulously connecting every blood vessel, muscle, tendon, and nerve between the donor's hands and the recipient's arms. The hands were generously donated by Meena Mehta, an administrative head of a reputed school in South Delhi, who had pledged her organs after her death. Her kidneys, liver, and corneas have already transformed the lives of three people, and now her hands have given hope to the painter. Isn't this amazing?

@JoelSsenyonyi Very sad. A judicial officer with a heart of stone? Institutional capture? What happened to presumption of innocence that underlines bail? Why punish a man to this extent? I almost cried when I read his letter to CJ. As you observed on NTV last night, Ugandans need to wake up.
