@HabbMdN @CFC_rube @UtdOptimist Yet Utd fans expected Gerrard to win a league title on his own at Liverpool. Only when it suits them I suppose😂

@Samwillsort @mufcytp @SkySportsNews They whinge over everything. A few weeks ago, it was that the refs are against them because they’re Man Utd. Now it’s the refs giving them the decisions but only admitting they’re errors because they’re Man Utd😂

@mufcytp @SkySportsNews Why TF are you whining? Just accept you got lucky yesterday. That’s what has been acknowledged by the PGMO. You got a decision you never should have had so try and be pleased and perhaps a little humble.

@vincegijsen @CharmOfCulture Ofc it’s crazy expensive if you’re in Temple Bar as it’s an expensive and complete tourist trap. The rest of the city is just as expensive as any other city in Western Europe. And there’s plenty to do and see🤣

@CharmOfCulture Yes Dublin. Its crazy expensive. And what do you get for it? Temple bar is overcrowded and for the rest not much to do or see.

@ZaidBalll @Carra23 I wonder if Jamie Carragher will take this even worse than he did Rio Ferdinand's post earlier this week.

🚨Bruno Fernandes: “The 2006 World Cup I remember it because that was Cristiano & Wayne’s little bit of fire there & then ends up in Jamie Carragher missing the penalty. I had to say this! Sorry Jamie. I had to get a little bit of you, you get on me all the time, I can get on you for that penalty huh?(laughs) Now when i miss a penalty don’t say anything about it please.” [@BBCSport]

@fergalreid Some of the buildings in that render don’t have planning permission and are higher than the site height restrictions allow, so I wouldn’t be getting too hopeful. It’s only a vision for the site unfortunately. Also, love the new mountains and hills added to the west of Dublin😄😂

@SMurphyTV I think it looks great but each to their own. The location is perfect as it’s designated for tall buildings at a key transport hub and the lands at Heuston are ripe for redevelopments like this. Completely agree on the docks. What a wasted opportunity that was☹️

@j47lfc I think that'll look very bland in real life tbh. And so isolated in that location, which is usually a reason for planning refusal. The whole North Wall/docklands areas should be full of that type of building, but we went for low boxes.

@SeanDubIreland @cooper_m Well I don’t know if what he said is true or not. If it’s true, I don’t see what the problem is. If it’s not, he should correct himself. But that doesn’t matter as it seems everyone is just taking it as a dig at rural Ireland, which wasn’t what I took from it.

@j47lfc @cooper_m So challenge the comments. Make the argument for and against. The instant reaction was to play the man. And the whole country has fallen for it.

Varadkar has no reason to apologise and every single commentator calling him out is blind or facetious. I disagree with Varadkar. But @cooper_m pulled off a massive coup replacing a has been with a man only months removed from the highest office in the land. And even more so, we have a “politician” directly ANSWERING questions and giving valuable insight into Government thought processes. This Virgin Tonight debate stinks. Varadkar comments should have triggered debates on farming subsidies, the horror of 80% of our food being imported, rural urban divide, the old devolution ideas. Instead, the media and sheep alike are shooting the messenger. The next time Varadkar is asked a question on Path to Power, he’ll be self censoring his words instead of giving us the blatant honest truths behind the decisions which makes his input so valuable. Now look at the sources of all the faux outrage. Independent, Times, RTE, NewsTalk. They all have one thing in common. They all have their own current affairs podcast in competition with Path to Power. Everyone loves to hate on Leo, so it’s easy to direct that anger when 80% of Irish media paint him as the villain for raising a valid point of view. Does anyone really think the latte sipping editors at these outlets care about the farming community? I stand with farmers, and thankfully, we still live in a land of one man one vote. But we should be willing to hear criticism and accept that changes may be needed if farming represents 22% of our economy vs years gone bye. Let’s have a discussion on getting food and energy security sorted rather than watching our domestic production drop. And let’s have Leo front and centre in that debate. Those scared of debate simply don’t have the courage of their convictions, and those shouting down Varadkar, are not doing so out of a love for farmers.
TonightVMTV@TonightVMTV

"If you say something and you believe in it, what are you apologising for?" asks Independent Ireland TD Michael Fitzmaurice TD following Leo Varadkar's apology. #TonightVMTV

@HarrySword With you on this one, Harry. Also, while we’re on the subject, almost out of nowhere, I’ve developed quite a robust hatred for Ireland (Protestant and Catholics) so if you ever want to write anything bad about them and their weird culture, you can expect a like from me. 👍

I don’t understand the obsession with Guinness. It’s quite a boring beer. Can be good ‘in Ireland’ but even then it’s not that good. And at its worst it’s like drinking whipped cream with seven 2p coins in your mouth.

@robggill Can appreciate and have support for the underlying issues of the protests but you cant take the law into your own hands. The public might be all behind it this time, but what happens if a group protesting about something the public don't agree with, blocks the country?

Who do you think the lawful civil authority is, Declan? AGS or a bunch of unelected protestors who decide who they allow to pass? You back them because you support their cause, the same as Gript. If they supported a cause you disagreed with you would be calling for PO unit.
Declan Ganley@declanganley

Galway Port, entirely peaceful, even joyful #FuelProtest and right now AGS in riot gear arriving. I am 57 years of age and have been pro-Garda my whole life. Whoever is deploying these officers is carrying out an act of wilful provocation.

If this is true, why don’t the government come out and say this? If their hands are tied due to EU laws, why not clarify this? Might not satisfy the protesters but it might get more people on their side who don’t know this.
