@michaelmiraflor There needs to be a separate park for the adults. Let them go and spend all their savings on whatever they want. The original park should be geared towards kids.

Among my hottest takes are: - Disney adults (esp with no kids) are ruining it for families by inflating the cost of everything. - Disney adults should seek therapy to deal with childhood issues, not more trips to Disneyland. - Disney should not cater to Disney adults. It’s for families. It’s for the kids.
The New Yorker@NewYorker

For the most devoted fans, Disney has engineered an ecosystem of financial entanglement that goes far deeper than park tickets or merchandise, which keeps the magic—and the debt—perpetually compounding. In 2023, Ashley, a freshman at Quinnipiac University, in Connecticut, had $15,000 in her bank account. Excited by her newfound freedom as a college student, she decided to start going on solo trips. Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida, seemed like an obvious choice. She went during her winter break. Then she returned, six times, in two years. Soon enough, her account balance had dwindled to just five dollars. Perhaps unsurprisingly, many adults who have accumulated Disney debt seem to be chasing a feeling from their childhoods. One woman, who has been to Disney World more than a hundred times, said that visiting the parks takes her back to a time when she had fewer worries: “It’s the nostalgic feeling of what brought you joy when you were little and you didn’t have the stressors of adult life.” Read more about the Disney adults putting themselves in debt for the pursuit of magic: newyorkermag.visitlink.me/_JqtFg

@TridentTrue The most mariner potential outcome is to record a season high in runs or hits. I’m manifesting it.

@MarinersTrident Emerson pitching well the whole year opens up so many options. If he shows he can be consistent, then it opens up for a 2027+ rotation of Woo, Anderson, Sloan, and then 2 of Miller/Emerson/Kirby depending on $ and Millers health.

Some people don’t like platoons. Some people recognize their value. Usually teams that rely on them for success don’t deviate from them due to recent results. The philosophy should and does change at times based on the platoon personnel changing I.e. Refsnyder being gone

Currently asking AI how to handle going viral for using AI. 😅 In all seriousness, I'm late to the AI party. Earlier this season I experimented with AI to see if it had any questions to add to my list for my postgame coverage. We've come a long way from pen and paper when I started in 1997 Always learning.

@JulioIsKing44 that 4 game stretch was unbelievable. I remember them all vividly. Having zero doubt a player would hit the ball was a wild experience. One of the greatest feats I've ever seen in MLB.

“I grew up in Arizona, served a mission in Mexico, and went to college thinking I had a pretty clear path for my life. Then I met my now wife Victoria, and everything changed in the best way. “She always knew she wanted to be a doctor. Pediatric neurology isn’t an easy road, but it’s who she is, compassionate, steady, brilliant, and drawn to help kids and families through the hardest things life hands them. When she got into med school in California, we packed up and moved. “Stepping into her dream together was an easy choice. I wanted to support her the way she has always supported me. And honestly, watching her work and sacrifice and love people like she does has strengthened my faith more than anything else. “My path hasn’t been as clear. I’ve tried different directions, learned a lot, prayed a lot. Some days I still feel like I’m figuring it out. But I do know that God doesn’t measure timelines. He measures love, humility, and the way we show up for each other. “Supporting her doesn’t shrink my purpose—it expands it. Our callings from God can look different, and that’s beautiful. I’m building my future too, but I’m grateful that right now, part of my purpose is cheering for the person I love most as she steps into hers. “There’s not one 'right way' to build a family or a future. For us, this is ours. And it’s sacred.” — Nate

The Astros lost 9-1. They are 6-7. It is hard to imagine a more miserable 72 hours for the Astros, who will open a four-game series at T-Mobile Park on Friday night. I have no clue who will pitch.

@AndyKHLiu If you have watched even a tiny bit of baseball the last 30 yrs you would know that there is definitely no certainty for a US team to win, even when they field the best. These Latin teams + Japan are ELITE. DR/Venezula/Japan/USA would be all be near toss ups in a 7 gm series.

Let’s run down the list… - jackass catcher doesn’t dap up his teammates because he wanna act tough. also benched in last two games cuz he stunk it up - manager doesn’t know the seeding rules and almost cost em a playoff spot - one of best players says tourney stinks it doesn’t matter - best player goes hitless entire tourney and has one of the worst speeches of all time - entire team cosplays like they are war veterans every game. You are not - 10x talent over every other team but lack of passion/aura/cool factor makes them look like NBA regular season players Just a sad bunch of dudes to watch. Hope WE can do better the next go around. Winning should be a certainty. Just want guys to represent our country better
