Anybody else miss the comfort of small phones? Most companies have stopped making them and now just focus on 6-ish inch phones. Apple shouldn't have discontinued the mini series!

Xperia 5 V doesn’t even get a mention in the small phone category.

Steam deck OLED launched here on Sunday and was sold out in minutes. Now a lot of them popping up on facebook marketplace with markups. WTF.

A person who doesn’t see their own mistakes is very dangerous. Who refuses to see their own mistakes. Constant and permanent state of denial. Always pointing fingers outwards.

@iJonniM @ArpitNahiMila Yep I think the biggest problem was starting with the 12 mini which created a bad rep. 13 mini was what should’ve been the first mini.

@ymnis_v1 Absolutely agree with this, but we seriously need better laws/protections for digital purchases as well as more access to games like from previous generations so they are not lost to time and people don’t turn towards piracy to play them.

Jesus wept. “Piracy is not stealing if buying isn’t owning” implies there’s a distinction between possession and ownership, while overlooking the fact that purchasing a game grants you a license to use it, not ownership of the intellectual property. access and ownership are distinct concepts. this type of brokie justification doesn’t change the fact that piracy still violates the licensing and undermines the economic sustainability of game development. there are cheaper hobbies out there. try collecting rocks or stamps or some shit.

@thechosenberg That last sentence resonated with me. He’s in a bad place. He’s made some bad choices. Sometimes in life, it feels like things will never be better. It’s easy to say do something or be better, but hard to do when you’re stuck in that rut. Let’s have some empathy.

@chaosprime Communication is always a two way street. The superior communicators are not those who can transmit useful informaiton to poor communicators in difficult circumstances. They're the ones who can identitfy poor communicators and avoid communicaton with them.

Had a really profound conversation with this older guy I used to play badminton with. Touched on some good topics. Grateful for it.

@jmwilt21 @jovericain This really hit home in mkbhd’s recent video about a sony smartphone. It felt like he actually didn’t know about the phone and/or the predecessor in depth. Just surface level stuff. Kinda expected since they test out so many phones, but also shows their preparations.

@jovericain Yep, also many people believe that because big creators have access to every phone, their opinion is more valid than others. But really just because you have access to all phones, doesn't mean that each phone gets properly tested. I don't think he has enough time to do that.

MrWhoseTheBoss chose the Pixel Fold as worst phone of 2023: The Pixel Fold might be the worst value for a phone for $1800, but it's by no means the worst phone of the year. It's a great phone that performs much better than its aging specs would have you believe. I know it's just his opinion, but I think he just took the easy hit at the Pixel Fold, and I have my doubts that he used it for any meaningful amount of time.

Self centered, narcissistic, and insensitive to others but hypersensitive to their own wants but all this while pretending to be sensitive have got to be the worst of the bunch
