@NornQueenKya I find the smaller vehicle can often fit snugly into places that a bigger tank won't. It's also much better for doing in things quickly: you can nip between the hills and fire off a few rounds. Not everything needs to be an extended maneuver.

A hotwheel: Small. Flimsy turret. Disappointing firepower. Not worth your time. A real tank: Large. Girthy turret. Veiny pipes. Cant wrap your hand around it. Insane levels of discharge.

This is the timeline we are now expected to believe: ⭐️2004: Blair Labour Government passes the Gender Recognition Act, FULLY recognising trans women as women - “for all purposes” - in line with the rest of Europe. ⭐️2010: Brown Labour Government passes the Equality Act - which is actually a strict bathroom bill, banning trans women from loos, the Women’s Institute, etc etc. Nobody notices for 15 years. Preposterous. The British trans community has been cheated. Was the Equality Act written as a Trump-style bathroom bill, @campbellclaret @RestIsPolitics ? What’s your recollection? Can you maybe talk about this? Great interview with McBride 👍

Yeah, the problem is that Trotsky discovered that he was a military virtuoso when plunged into civil war. Twitter is full of people who read the story backwards and think that there's a brilliant Red Napoleon lurking beneath their own lofty, self-important theorizing.
Woland 🇵🇸@stendhalist

Really can't help but admire Trotsky when pre-WW1 he was this café-going slightly effeminate and dandy nerd but in power was the ruthless organizer of the Red Army. Imagine you put this Twitter theory nerd in charge of an army but it turns out he's actually competent

@eyezcreems @2331_tom Custer was ordered not to attack the Indian encampment on his own. He gave away his position, ignored his Indian scouts' advice, then attacked a force that outnumbered him 20:1 --- making sure to split his force first, of course.

@eyezcreems @2331_tom Being a general in the ACW was no indication of excellence. He wasn't anyway, he was a lieutenant-colonel. He was court-martialled for his poor performance in 1867, and notorious for slaughtering Cheyenne children.

It really is incredible - and quite frightening - to see the Gender Critical machine pretending trans women were never covered by the Equality Act. And our useless complicit media go along with it. Let’s be clear: Religious Lord Hodge overstepped the mark and REWROTE the law at the UKSC last April - stripping us of our rights. Not a judge’s job. Parliament makes law. There SHOULD have been an inquiry. Labour SHOULD have stepped in and said “This is nonsense.” The AUTHOR of the EA says trans women WERE absolutely covered by the EA. Hodge refused to call her. The EA came six years AFTER the GRA - which had already settled legally that trans women are women. Why is everyone ignoring this fact? Britain is such a corrupt country. 🤷‍♀️🙄 @EmilyThornberry

@mealdealtruther I agree, this is a constitutional disaster. But it's more convenient for the government to allow the courts to change the law in this way than take responsibility for the changes. (Ironically making them look weak.)

Is it normal for laws to be changed in the courts and by quangos like the equality act and gender recognition act have been? I could just not know about other cases, but this isn't this something that usually happens in parliament here?

@LRSerling At some point the button is changing someone so fundamentally that pushing it is killing. Lot of bad places to go with judicial mind control. However, since the war is still going and there are so many other lives to save, the judicial question is superceeded. Blue.

@JosephZander @NornQueenKya Would also recommend Cult of the Spiral Dawn and it's prequel short, Cast a Hungry Shadow, by Fehervari. It's part of his Dark Coil works (so shit gets weird) but it's some good ground level perspective from various GSCultists.

Lore and gameplay can both be intertwined or entirely separate Example: I love SoB lore and aesthetic. Cant stand how they play. Been shelfed since assembled Flipside Im indifferent on GSC lore/stories, love playing them And of course you have the best of both worlds, like my lore rich Nightlord Warband which gives games more character
Elliedrad Bunthran@Aeldarellie

Hello warhammer friends, my cat here has a question for you all: When deciding to collect and play an army, how important is the lore of the army to you? Would you ever play a faction you didn’t like the lore of if you liked the models/gameplay?

@DubW70944448 @LinkofSunshine I think watching 18.6 hours of The Good Place gives me a little basis for an opinion. Maybe the reason I posted this was because I thought it might be nice to see if people who had seen it could talk me out of my pessimism.

@DkSemyon @NornQueenKya Tchaikovsky often seems to be riffing on the Apt/Inapt distinction since. The scrappy rebels vs the emotionless machines; but in Day of Ascension it seems ironic. I don't think the reader is supposed to agree with how the protagonist contrasts herself with the Mechanicus.

@DkSemyon @NornQueenKya I've read his Shadows of the Apt series. You can really see him grow as a writer over it. There's a moment in the first few books when he suddenly became able to kill off his characters and it stops feeling like a Saturday morning cartoon.

@adsfig5 @MariGO2thepolls Like, imagine if Homelander actually burst into your plane and strated threatening to laser you. Would you pull out your comics and say "that's nothing, Peter Parker is outerversal. Homelander you are pathetically weak"?

@adsfig5 @MariGO2thepolls Yes in the real world no-one can do these things. Therefore being able to do these things gives Homelander the ability to dominate humans.

@NornQueenKya I am one of those who love it. Very good at capturing the thoughts of the players. Tchaikovsky made the cultists' perspective very sympathetic, but obviously wrong, with no bright line between propaganda and mind control.
