(NB googling suggests going into shock from circumcising is rare) One of my beliefs whose unpopularity absolutely mystifies me is that circumcision on babies that isn’t medically necessary should be illegal. Life doesn’t give you questions this easy very often.

You use this tool to stick under the foreskin and break the membrane that "glues" the foreskin to the glans during infant circumcision. Yes, the foreskin is glued to the glans at birth and separates naturally over time, usually completely dissolved during puberty.

I assume you agree public funding is reasonable to help children who recieve botched circumcisions. The best medicine is preventative, it would probably be cheaper and kinder to just do the circumcisions in house.
