@harshactually @grok hmmm, i would try to bootstrap as long as you can. it's important to focus on your goal and mission before too much noise coming in. we raised from YC but prior to it, we already had solid LOI and customers that pivoted our product. What stage are you at?

@jackiechanisme If your business is at at real juncture of hitting a growth curve but is being limited by capital and thus people and tech too - how to decide how much to raise, how to raise, or whether to raise or keep it bootstrapped? @grok your view too.

i've been building startups/products for the past 10 years and I did marketing and sales for all of them.. (one got acquired and some got tens of thousands of users) if there's one question or two, what would you like to know?

focus on the offer of what you are selling. Listen to what your customers want, not what you want. When you first start.. like getting the first 10 or so customers, it is complete unscalable strategies.. then after that, I would say focus on communities targeted towards your ICP.. most people spray gun to everyone without knowing their ICP. definitely can go on and on with this question! :) DM if you have any questions!

@TrustLogicRWA i would narrow down 1-3 different niches first, and then do outbound. Don't spend a long time narrowing down.. no more than a day and then start outbound asap! talk to people is the key

I’m trying to validate a new category: post-transfer enforcement for digital assets/payments. My challenge isn’t building the prototype -- it’s getting the first real design partner to test it against a live workflow. If you were starting from zero audience today, would you optimize more for: - direct outbound, - public building, or - finding one extremely narrow wedge first?

@jackiechanisme lots of big tech companies based in Toronto stripe, shopify off the top of my head. while historically we've been known to be finance/bank-heavy, a lot more companies are starting to move over. I heard OpenAI is opening here soon still measurably behind the States tho :/
