@BSBO887 @SammyShills @HalToHell You’re right on Judge, I was thinking Soto would be at 1st but he’d be at 2nd so they would walk to set up 1st/2nd. My b. Still a much harder proposition to score with 1 out and third base open. I hear you on the relievers but best shot at 10th inning victory is still hold imo

@jackminton95 @SammyShills @HalToHell I’m curious what makes you think they pitch to Judge with an open base? You walk him and set up the DP. Plus, the Yanks played extras the night before where they used 5 relievers. I’m sure they weren’t trying to do that again, so you take the gamble on the send.

@BSBO887 @SammyShills @HalToHell Your win probability with a send is lower than with a hold. That’s my only point. It wasn’t a crazy decision and obviously it worked in this instance. But overtime hold here wins more ballgames

@BSBO887 @SammyShills @HalToHell The more favorable a situation the more you can trust your hitters. Bases loaded 0 outs is monumentally different from 1/2nd 1 out. And they prob pitch to judge if he gets thrown out which lowers your odds even more

@BSBO887 @SammyShills @HalToHell If you don’t believe the team can win with wells-Stanton-jazz (4-5-6) up to bat, bases loaded 0 outs, then the season is already over. Team has struggled in extras but the % are out the window once you get to this situation. Trust the hitters here rather than gamble

@jackminton95 @SammyShills @HalToHell Knowing how this team performs in extras, Judge would get walked, Wells would K or make an unproductive out and then Stanton grounds into an inning ending DP. We see it happen too often with them. The send was the correct call, worst case you have Soto at 2nd with 1 out.

@SammyShills @HalToHell Bad send. Throw needed to be good not perfect, it just ended up being horrible. A hold results in bases loaded 0 outs for 4-5-6 hitters. That should be an automatic win. Don’t put the game in their CF’s hands
