Democrats have an easy-to-understand proposal before them – the latest serious offer from Republicans to get DHS back up and running. They have repeatedly said that they want to pay TSA, Coast Guard, FEMA, and employees who defend America from cyberattacks. This bill would do it.

Certain private university endowment profits are taxed at a rate of 1.4%. The One Big Beautiful Bill includes primary provisions of my bill, which would tax these universities at a rate of 21% on their endowment profits. “Elite” universities will be held accountable.
