I'm going to ask an uncomfortable question. Why are ALL climate change rejectors on the extreme right? I want to hear from a radical lefty, proper working class activist who thinks climate change science is a scam funded by elitists who want to crush our freedom.

@implausibleblog Genuine question, do you in any way understand the majority of the electorate’s concern that this uncontrolled influx of undocumented individuals of (very largely) unknown origin, might constitute a security risk to the UK population?

It looks like Sadiq Khan will now ram through his £12.50 a day #ULEZ charge into outer London. It will disproportionately hit the Londoners who have the cleanest air, fewest public transport options, and can’t afford a new vehicle. He’s not on your side.

@TVAddictStill @jburnmurdoch I don’t think anyone is in favour of forced retrofitting, at least not beyond that which can be done by a couple of competent people in an afternoon.

@jburnmurdoch For those specific policies. I support them too but am absolutely opposed to being forced to 'retrofit' insulation or a heat pump. That would be so disruptive I would have to move out while it happened (and find storage for everything I own). It would be a nightmare.

Don’t interpret a close by-election result and one poorly designed policy as Britons cooling on net zero: the British public — including Conservative voters — is fully behind ambitious green growth. Confident parties and leaders would channel those sentiments, not undermine them.
