@TheOnion You should delete this. It’s in poor taste and it’s not funny.

@jacobswain @paulkrugman I don't think anyone reads his posts if he's here, mastodon, and somewhere but still has to advertise his status on said sites lol

The experience with this site is deteriorating by the day. I am now on both Mastodon and Post: @pkrugman" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">mastodon.online/@pkrugman and post.news/paulkrugman. Triple-posting will be a pain, but will try for a while at least.

lazyweb: what's the more affordable version of MailChimp these days. paying $24k a year and not using it all that much (they charge you based on list size, which is insane)

@mdj_dev @housecor I see this frequently when client applications utilize multiple APIs. Showing error messages unnecessarily leads to confusion and support requests 100% of the time. Users should only see error messages when they really need to see them.

@housecor BTW there are sometimes valid cases when you would want to ignore an error, especially if used API is throwing them too much.

This isn’t error handling: .catch((error) => { console.log(error); }); That’s error swallowing. 😬 The user doesn’t watch the console. So, they don't know an error occurred. The solution? Show a message when an error occurs. .catch((error) => { setError(error); });

@paulkrugman Not be confused with cryptocoins, blockchains coupled with smart contracts have HUGE use cases, things not possible with web 2.0 A lot of people dismissing it haven't worked deeply in the sector and don't understand the tech. Therefore their opinions are understandable.. 1/
