@sydney_ev Rural australia also has electricity supply. Heck you can even get it from the sun. It’s actually more of a logistics challenge to drill for oil, refine it, ship it to AU, ship it to the outback (using fuel) and store it there for someone to buy it

"EVs wont work in Australia because distance..." reality is, Australia is highly urbanised population, all in just a few centers, and we drive LESS than those in the US, and barely more than those in Europe. many nations in EU, actually drive further, Ireland at 17000Km P.A

@PoxDoctor @Matt_Camenzuli china stole all the "renewable" technology from universities in USA and Australia as well btw. Same way we gave them grapes and Merinos, killing two other industries. You think you hate the traitorous political-media class enough, but you don't.

Chris Bowen just admitted that we don't have any real amount of strategic fuel reserve here in Australia. Our reserves remain under the control of the USA. We no longer have the capacity to refine commercial quantities of our own fuel onshore. Because Australia is the worst place to do anything hard. Because the laws, regulations and red tape are at stupid levels. Every Australian will pay the price of decades of an incompetent and corrupt government.

@Marcdawson Poor Pat. She desperately wants to barrack for her team, but you know that election loss must have been hard for her, then there’s been the breakups and reunions, she’s got to pin her hopes somewhere. At least she managed to pin the tail of her hopes on the donkey’s arse

I seem to recall one Pat Karvelas quite boldly forecasting, in her inimitable style, that Jim Chalmers might now be quaking in his boots at the prospect of having to face new Shadow Treasurer Tim Wilson in #QT. Yeah, right :) #auspol
stranger@strangerous10

Tim Wilson can’t handle the heat & ends up scolded as Jim Chalmers reminds of his call for Medicare privatization, dismantling Super, describing WFH as apartheid Wilson jumps to complain as Speaker calls out the “absolute abuse of standing orders” “Everyone saw that”🔥 #auspol

@Ausbobsmit Fuel is the single biggest import to AU, about $20bn pa. Every $ turned from fuel import to domestic electricity and EV is an increase in GDP, national security and price independence. The only problem is too many idiots in AU who love to crap on the obvious solution.

@RBJRON @MikeCarlton01 Malcolm Turnbull was in the wrong party. He had a social conscience, supported same sex marriage, believed in climate change action. Simply doesn’t fit in LNP land

@MikeCarlton01 Malcolm Turnbull was probably the fairest of the LNP'S prime ministers IMO and look what happened to him. Someone visited Australia from NYC, and a week later, Morrison was the PM. So guess who runs the LNP and why it's now a shyt party

@Logically_JC Norway has 3 million less people than NYC 80% of them are from European decent, AKA white They reduced the number of hospitals from 40 to 20 in 2002. With a combined total of about 11,000 beds Compare that to Alabama that has about 81, with 14k beds and 400K less ppl

@demi_anderson0 Show the numbers. Are you counting police and other public workers like public hospital workers and you’ve done that for every country in the world? Then publish the stats

Australia has the HIGHEST number of public servants per capita in the ENTIRE WORLD! This Labor government is using OUR tax dollars to explode the bureaucracy – not to deliver better services, but to fudge unemployment figures, fuel inflation, prop up the economy on paper, and lock in votes for their own re-election. They’ve created a massive dependent class that will NEVER vote against the hand that feeds them. Just look at Victoria: same Labor playbook for over a decade. Rampant crime, endless corruption scandals, crippling debt, industries destroyed and Victorians still can’t get them out. Federally they’re running the exact same SCAM. Aussies, WAKE UP and FIGHT LIKE OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT - because they do! The public service is already our largest sector. Time to take our country back before it’s too late . We need to get behind candidates who promise real cuts! We need to fight against this machine! #WakeUpAustralia #LaborBloat

According to the ex-NSW Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner for Japan and Korea, Michael Newman: 🇦🇺 Australia has 140 public servants to every 1,000 people 🇯🇵 Japan has 38 per 1,000 people. 🇦🇺 Employs 2.5 million bureaucrats, costing us $232 billion a year. 🇯🇵 Has five times our population, runs on 3.3 million bureaucrats and spends only $270 billion. 🇦🇺 17 per cent of the working age population is now on the government payroll. 🇯🇵 Just five per cent. 🇦🇺 Bureaucrats are on bigger salaries too. Per head, Aussie public servants earn an average of $93,000 versus Japan at just $76,000. 🇦🇺 At the senior executive level, federal heads of department are raking in up to $1,000,000 Aussie dollars a year. 🇯🇵 To compare with Japan, the top earning politicians in the Asian archipelago bring home about $255,000. Mr Newman sensibly suggested that senior civil servants should be paid like private sector professionals, with a smaller base salary with performance-based rewards. As Thomas Sowell said "It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong."

@JeremyLshow @TheAppleDesign In 2012 right? First release of a global map product that was a vector map before Google did vector maps. Not surprising there’d be some errors. Amazing how people still dredge up a navigation error from over 13 years ago

@TheAppleDesign There’s honestly no comparison between Google Maps and Apple Maps. Google Maps clearly dominates. Whether it’s accuracy, real-time updates, or features, Apple Maps falls short. There’s nothing to debate — Google Maps is simply the best.

@TheAppleDesign But in real daily use (especially outside major Western cities), Google still crushes it with better POI data, reviews, offline maps, and transit accuracy.
