This is another example of the celebritification of government actors, and it's bad. The Transportation Secretary should not be a reality TV star getting money from companies he's supposed to regulate. He should be a boring government bureaucrat whose name I almost never hear.

My take on #Survivor 50 with one episode to go is that it’s a collection of a lot of episodes that are good in a vacuum but do not come together at all to tell a satisfying story. Nobody left has really contributed to what made those previous episodes so great.

Did not have “run into such bad turbulence that people were gasping and vomiting and pilot had to turn around and land at another airport to refuel and wait out the storm” on today’s travel wish list, but ok. Safely at our destination now. EVERYONE clapped when the plane landed.

Since we’re talking about the Pulitzer Prize, there should really be journalism awards that honor the sources who come forward and tell their stories. Yes, journalists write the stories. But powerful articles are not typically possible without someone willing to tell their story.
