Got in trouble again for telling a patient with cancer to cut down on sugars, carbs, junk food, eat healthy, organic food. I was told I'm a nurse not a nutritionist or dietician. Ok Felicia but in my nursing program I took more the 4 days of nutrition classes then medical students take. That alone makes me more qualified then a doctors nutrition advice

@CoachSwit My home mound was as bad as the visitors mound until I paid out of my own pocket to rebuild it. Not sure I need to pay more out of my pocket for a visitor mound when I’m paid $2500 a season

One thing you notice in high school baseball—some road fields don’t have a visiting bullpen mound, while the home team does. I took over a field like that & worked to fix it—turf mound by year 2, real mound by year 4 for visiting school. Thoughts on this?

Are high school, travel, and college coaches scared to lose players if they don’t let them act like absolute idiots. I’m talking about going past the line and that’s what’s happening now. Seeing it at every level. How do we fix it? @Javi_DeJesus13 @robyounce @nextlevelbb

How can we improve youth baseball & fight back against the “travel ball” model that has overtaken the game? I feel a long term responsibility to use Unfinished Player Development for this change.

The number of girls playing high school basketball is a crisis no one is talking about. Programs are drying up. Teams can barely fill their rosters. We can't grow this game if we can't get kids to believe it's worth their time. What are programs doing to fix this?

@shegone03 Proud to say not 1 time in 10 years of coaching “travel ball” did I ever use “stay and play”. Whenever they called I just told them kids were staying with local family. TDs won’t turn down your entry fee. Just call their bluff. Works every time

How much of your hard earned money can Perfect Game get? The STAY TO PLAY model is disgraceful and I think people deserve the truth! Here is the actual Perfect Game lodging policy! PERFECT GAME TOURNAMENT LODGING POLICY: Stay-to-Play Requirement This event is designated as a Stay-to-Play tournament. Perfect Game works closely with the local lodging community in our host cities to provide competitive rates, secure sufficient room inventory, and ensure a high-quality experience for all attending teams. WHO MUST COMPLY Teams traveling more than 75 miles from the primary host venue are required to secure hotel accommodations through Perfect Game's official lodging platform, EventConnect, or pay the designated Hotel Waiver Fee. This policy ensures every team meets the lodging compliance minimum while maintaining flexibility in how requirements are met. LODGING REQUIREMENTS Each traveling team must reserve an average of eight (8) rooms per night for the duration of the tournament. The required total room nights are calculated as follows: 8 rooms × (number of tournament days − 1) = total required room nights *For event durations longer than 7 days, the max number of required room nights is 48. Tournament Length Required Room Nights 7-day event 48 room nights 6-day event 40 room nights 5-day event 32 room nights 4-day event 24 room nights 3-day event 16 room nights 2-day event 8 room nights Teams may choose to pay a Hotel Waiver Fee in lieu of booking through the Perfect Game lodging platform. By paying this fee, teams are permitted to make their own hotel arrangements independently. Hotel Waiver Fee formula: (number of tournament days − 1) × $200 Note: The Hotel Waiver Fee will be added to the team’s shopping cart 14 days prior to the tournament start date. BOOKING DEADLINE Deadline All required room nights must be reserved no later than 14 days prior to the first day of the tournament. Teams that do not meet the minimum room night requirement by the deadline will be responsible for payment of the Hotel Waiver Fee. If a team is found to be non-compliant after being scheduled, the team may be deemed ineligible for future Perfect Game events until the waiver fee is resolved. LOCAL TEAMS Teams located within 75 miles of the host venue are considered local and are exempt from the Stay-to-Play requirement. BOOKING PROCESS Upon acceptance into the tournament, each team representative will receive a custom EventConnect booking link via email. Use the link for 24-hour access to official Perfect Game lodging partners. Room nights booked through EventConnect are tracked automatically and will appear on your team’s Perfect Game Management page under the HOTELS section. Teams can block, share, and book rooms together at the same property, or families may book separately at different EventConnect hotels that best meet their needs. Note: There is no cost to hold a block of rooms; however, room blocks can only be held for up to 10 days before they automatically expire. THIRD-PARTY BOOKING NOTICE Reservations made outside the EventConnect system (e.g., directly with hotels or via third-party sites such as Hotels.com, Expedia, or Hotwire) will not count toward your team’s required room night total. #shegone @PerfectGameUSA @PG_Scouting @MLB @MLBNetwork @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs @iamrags @low_and_outside @hittingguru7

@idobadtakes It takes a level of “intestinal fortitude” to work in a rural area. Not everyone can hack it.

Every doctor knows we could double our income by going out to rural areas. We joke about it, talk about quitting the grind of the city to go be rich in rural Missouri or Wisconsin. No one actually does it
Icarus@DogeBonkBonker

@PAstynome give me a 0% tax rate on rural medicine practice and whites will come back increase male physician %, it will come back allow NPs to take USMLEs before indians

This is why you’re a 🤡 when you say “Ok to fire me with a buyout of $5M” You also didn’t spend 26 years to get the job in first place. Or mop the floor. Or do the laundry. Or schedule food + trips. All while living in poverty. You have NO F’ing clue🤡

This is how you start setting the precedent for RICO charges: - Physician Shortage: projected shortage of 187k+ physicians by 2037. Over 100 million Americans currently lack access to primary care, with average specialist wait times of 31 days (up 48% since 2004). - Thousands of U.S. Graduates Unmatched Annually: In 2025, at least 9,426 applicants (17.9% of total) remained completely unmatched even after the Main Match and Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP). In competitive specialties, unmatched rates for U.S. MD seniors reach 22.7% or higher when applying only to fields like dermatology. Honestly, this is mostly the students not understanding how competitive they may or may not be. - Surplus of Applicants vs. Positions: The 2025 Match had 52,498 applicants competing for roughly 43,237 PGY-1 positions - Stagnant and Suppressed Resident Wages: First-year residents earned an average of $66,712 in 2024 (lower than nurse practitioners ($132k) or physician assistants ($133k). Real inflation-adjusted wages are actually lower today than they were in 1971. Over 95% of hospitals pay identical starting salaries regardless of qualifications, specialty, location, or merit (only ~$9k difference between 25th–75th percentile hospitals). - Hospitals Profit While Residents Are Underpaid: Teaching hospitals receive approximately $178,000 in federal GME funding per resident per YEAR. Residents generate substantial clinical revenue for hospitals but are barred from negotiating better pay or conditions. It’s a huge arbitrage scam. - Unsafe Working Conditions: Nearly half of residents report routinely exceeding the 80-hour weekly cap, with many falsifying duty-hour logs under institutional pressure. Widespread physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, plus gender/racial discrimination, affects 38%+ of residents. - Severe Mental Health Crisis: Residents are 350% more likely to suffer depression than the general U.S. population. Suicide rates among medical residents are the highest of any profession, directly linked to lack of control over pay, hours, and career placement. Suicide is now the leading cause of death amongst medical residents. - Direct Patient Harm: The Match bottleneck worsens physician shortages, leading to longer wait times, reduced access (especially in rural/underserved areas), higher burnout, increased medical errors, and lower-quality care from overworked, underpaid, and depressed residents. The report ends by saying the NRMP functions as an anticompetitive monopoly that suppresses wages, constrains workforce growth, and harms both American doctors and patients (conduct that would be illegal without the special-interest antitrust exemption)

Just about 2 1/2 years ago, this doctor convinced my wife to have a total hysterectomy based off of MRI results and he said her uterus was destroyed by lesions, even drew a picture of her uterus and a bunch of lesions on it. In his notes and the pathology report it was stated her uterus was perfectly healthy, yet he still took it out. When we had the MRI re-looked at after the fact, there was no signs of the lesions he told my wife were there. We have a 19 minute long recording from the two week follow up where he admits to doing wrong, including withholding information and options. We had a law firm lined up and New York State Department of Health look like they were going be cracking down on him. However, shortly after he transitioned in the beginning of last year, New York State dropped the case. It took local politicians to get it reopened. Please help me share the story because hundreds of thousands of women have unnecessary hysterectomies every single year. It’s a multi billion dollar industry.
