How can web agencies survive the vibe coding era? I got to sit down with @jakemgold from @Fueled at #PressConf2026. Jake is a wealth of knowledge from his many years of experience in the industry. My biggest takeaway was that agencies should be worried about AI. That's not to be dramatic, that's a truth that all entrepreneurs must face. We need to stay competitive and work harder than ever to make sure our clients get value out of our services.

I agree, focus on low-mid pros. For people having to publish & manage content? WP’s ease of use is its edge in the “big kids” market.

Interesting PressConf talk by @jakemgold, 10up Founder, about who WordPress is for - a topic that has been discussed a lot lately, with no clear conclusions or agreement. What do you think of his key points? - The ideal space for WordPress in the market is to provide a flexible, hybrid approach which attracts both designers and developers. It doesn’t need to be the best option for either pure, hardcore designers or developers, and should focus on strategic buyers who fall between the two extremes. - No CMS can realistically be the most economical, flexible AND technically advanced - WordPress offers a good balance between the 3 and doesn’t need to aim to be the best at any one of them.
