@chrishume_ A lot of tools are the same way. They'll advertise made or manufactured in USA, then in smaller type it'll say "with global parts."

A Dirty Secret of USA Made This hat says Made in USA but it's probably a lie This hat, along with other brands, are made in Los Angeles Chances of those LA shops using fabric made in the States is very low given the US infrastructure to produce fabric is basically non-existent These brands claim made in the USA but unless most of the fabric and parts are made in the USA then it's technically not "Made in the USA" It would be the equivalent of "Designed in San Francisco, Assembled in LA" or "Made in LA with Imported Materials"

@Matt_Titan_ I agree, but there’s also so much opportunity to stand out. Especially for a company doing $2M+.

@brover Good logos don't save bad operators. I've seen $2M roofing companies with Microsoft Paint logos that crush competitors with $5K brand packages. Your crew's work quality and your ability to collect payment matter more than your visual identity.

Business owners are sharing their logos in a blue collar Facebook group and I’d guess 50% are AI generated. Another 30% look like PowerPoint.

I look like a psychopath when I'm walking the dog. Last week, I walked past a rusting lamppost, and I thought to myself 'that texture looks sick' and started taking photos. I do this a lot, where I take photos for texture. I haven't used it for client projects yet, as no one's been that experimental. There's a load of inspiration you can find out in the real world. So if you need a grunge/metal album cover, try your local lamppost.

DESIGNERS OR SCAMMERS Yesterday I met with a potential client who had hired FOUR designers before meeting me. All of those designers delivered incomplete work. He was getting hoodwinked. He'd post his design job to a freelance hiring site, within minutes he'd have 80 applicants. These were obviously bots but he'd have no way to vet them. He'd pay up front and get left hanging with a garbage project. My bid was 8x what he initially hoped to spend. He's already spent half that on unusable work. I doubt he plans to hire me, but as Red Adair said "If you think it’s expensive to hire a professional, wait until you hire an amateur."

Opportunity is missed by most people because it’s dressed as cold outreach and asks for your password.

This has been a fun visual experiment.

Might mess around and actually print some of these for the garage.
