So it’s done. Labor cut a deal with the greens and the negative gearing and CGT changes are going through. The Greens held the deciding vote on the biggest property tax change in a generation and traded it for just an 8 week inquiry into the NDIS cuts. They threw in a new ban on self managed super funds borrowing to buy property so the regular person using their own super to get one investment property is now also blocked. Everything is going in the perfect direction.
